I had the chance to meet and talk with Jim and he signed a CD for me. Super Cool. The place rocked every time The Ides of March played The Acorn. This was when he hosted was the annual singer-songwriter competition. We bonded over being Chicagoland kids. I told him his music brought a lot of Joy to our lives.

I saw him years ago in a concert called "Chicago Gold" which included a reunion of The Ides Of March. After their set, he sat at a piano onstage and played all of the songs that he had written over the years and I was amazed at how many he had written that were hits for other groups. In my opinion it was the highlight of that show.

JustinGuitar did a good electric split screen rendition with “C Guy” who just played the droning C throughout the song and the “Fun Guy” who plays all the riffs; but I’d love to get a tab of this acoustic version.

I actually thought that this song was created for the movie. Amazing how this song fits the movie so well where i guy had independantly wrote it. This IS the 80's for sure.

Only in Survivor. He played guitar on the first Survivor album. After that.... keyboards. In the Ides of March, Pride of Lions, World Stage, various side projects (like Dennis DeYoung's solo album) you see him play guitar a lot.

Starting with the Chicago Blues to bands like The Buckinghams, Ides Of March, Styx, Chicago Transit Authority (aka Chicago), Cheap Trick, Survivor, Ministry, Reo Speedwagon, Smashing Pumpkin’s, Urge Overkill, and more.
