I was in 9th grade watching on our little black and white tv. Unbelievable come back. My dad was so pissed at half time that he turned off the TV. I turned it back on a little later thinking they had no chance. Great memories

I was a freshman in high school and I watched this game with my dad on TV and it was the craziest thing I think I’ll ever see in college football.

Very cool you were there! I was watching from home in NY. One of the best college football games I ever watched in my lifetime. The game is still being talked about to this very day.

I remember watching this game as if i watched it yesterday . Like most people, i said the game is over they will never come back to win the game . And was i wrong I was in the 8th .grad . I had some friends from school over to watch the game . We were all screming like crazy . My mom had to leave the house because we were all being so loud And when my Dad came home, he was in the basement yealling with all of us . Good times i wouldnt change anything about them . Kids nowadays dont know what it's like to be a kid like we knew it . You see a group of kids riding bikes together it looks strange because you really see it nowadays . When i was a kid, we rode our bikes everywhere. You go by parks nowadays, they are empty . Kids can't be kids now a days because of all the sick people in our country About fifteen years ago i was driving down a side road, and there was this little girl walking in the street she could have been more than three years old . I was going to turn my pickup around and ask her if she needed any help . Then i thought to myself, what if someone thought i was trying to pick her up or she told her mom and dad this guy in this truck turned around and was asking me if i was ok and . So i keeped driving you know we live in some bad times when you are scared to ask a child if she is ok and if she needs help . What a f up country we live in nowadays . The Democrats are trying to destroy our country, and they are doing a good job doing so . You have college kids yealling Death to America, something i thought i would never hear We have Democrats in the senate who hate our country and will do whatever they can to destroy our country . We have millions of illegal immigrants pouring into our country . With the blessing of Joe Biden, ten million illegal immigrants have invaded our country with more on the way As long as Joe Biden is president, they will keep invading our country . Our country is the only country with an open border. Who exactly is coming into our country . Did any tarrist simply walk into our country . How about child molesters how many out of the ten million have a history of being a child molester

So some 6 years later McMahon and Dickerson would meet in the NFC Championship then Craig James and McMahon in Super Bowl XX

It would help if the score was updated after every score. Did BYU miss an extra point?

Noted. Lol, I learned that lesson with a 10-7 ball game. But as far as the score here, 5 TD’s and PAT’s with one FG gives BYU the 38 points shown in the final score. Unless I don’t have it for some reason, I always show missed PAT’s

Anyone remember the Mizlou network scandal? They added time to games to affect outcomes. They added several minutes to this game giving BYU the win. Everyone who wasn’t a BYU fan were outraged. Mizlou Network was banned from airing any more games because they were corrupt. My dad and I watched this game and couldn’t believe how the game clock was being manipulated. We didn’t care who won since we weren’t fans of either team. But we were outraged at how blatantly Mizlou and officials conspired to change the outcome of the game. I’m not taking away the talent on the teams. McMahon was a great QB. And Dickerson was in a league of his own. Do a little investigating and you’ll learn how corrupt The Mizlou network was.

Wait...what? How could they add minutes to a game? With the clock in plain sight for everyone to see at all times, it would be impossible to get away with it. How exactly was the clock being "manipulated"? You need to come up with a better explanation than that if you want anyone to believe you.

@@mylesmarkson1686 Research the Mizlou network. They did this many times. They were corrupt and lost the rights to televise future games.

What, specifically, was being done to add time? I'm curious. Please explain yourself. Just saying that we should "look it up" isn't going to work. You made the claim, you explain. The network and the officials don't work the clock. The home team and the visiting team each have a representative running the clock. One makes notes and the other pushes buttons.

@@JeromyBranch I think he's just making it up. His favorite team lost on the Mizlou Network once, and he's been a conspiracy-theorist ever since. That's my bet anyway.

@@mylesmarkson1686 That's possible, but I prefer to give people a chance. There is a slight slip in his story. They became outraged. But not only him and his father, but EVERYONE became outraged. That is a sign that he did not like the outcome of the game. Still, I guess it's possible that, for at least one college game, the rules were set aside and a local television network was permitted to run the game clock for a nationally televised game, and the officials pitched in to assist. Not likely, but I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt.
