Pillman Jr, who didn't mean anything in AEW except for when his father's Dark Side of the Ring episode came out, currently getting a fair fighting chance on NXT to sink or swim is reason #1 why I've thought (and said) for a long time now that Wardlow and Powerhouse Hobbs are foolish to not send feelers out to WWE about getting their own pushes on NXT. It really can't be worse than their stop-start-stop-start-stop-start "pushes" in AEW, while Tony's pet gets booked like 1998 Goldberg.

Pillman Jr’s finisher is nice. People been calling for Hobbs and Wardlow to jump ship for at least 2 years now. It would be sweet if they show up at the same time on NXT.

That's my problem with a lot of today's wrestling. I'm impressed by the athleticism and skill in all the choreographed sequences but I rarely believe that the wrestlers are involved in a contest, let alone a fight. These guys are just not intimidating as tough guys or believable as combat athletes - they're basically dancers.

It was a rib but it was more about the business side of wrestling - you don't have to like or dislike or even think your opponent the people you work with is at your level but you do have to do the job you're given with the finish they have and the time limit they've allocated. Do that get yourself and or your opponent over (rare) and reap the benefits from more bums on seats (if that's in your contract) or more merch sales (if that isn't in your contract you need a better agent), or even a title push (where you can charge more for your autograph & stuff).

Dave's problem wasn't the Bucks, it was Darby using "Cornette lingo" and putting over Cody (who Dave clearly has an axe to grind with, since for two years in a row he's tried to screw up WrestleMania for him. Last year it was his attempt to get the crowds to boo Cody in favor of Sami Zayn, this year it was him trying to shut down and undermine #WeWantCody and supported the Rock/Roman match). And yes, Dave has turned on AEW to support the Bucks (and Omega, too). Happened after they were suspended following "Brawl Out". His AEW reviews were a lot less sugarcoated than they usually are.

Yep he was my favourite as a kid (hence my name) but I can't watch a YB match.

It sort of reminds me of Steiner's actual shoot on Flair and WCW. When he told everybody that all the top WWF guys were ex-WCW who got driven out by Flair and his pals and people were changing the channel to watch Stone Cold rather than the man with more loose skin than a sharpei puppy.

Their timing is terrible. After months of people out crying that Punk vs the Elite is the biggest match they could do, Punk went to the competition and created a huge buzz and the Bucks finally lean into the EVP angle after they've gone completely stale.

The Cutlet line was pure GOLD! The entire segment was like watching the greatest car wreck ever!

You are looking at it from a normal viewpoint that the goal is to make money and draw ratings. This is wrong. Tony doesn't give an iota about those things. He is playing to suit an audience of one....himself. That's why there are few story lines. He just wakes up and thinks " I wonder how it would be if Cassidy has to face Big Bill. And win with a roll up off the top rope." and there is the main event.

Not just that. They (aew) killed the indie scene so they kinda killed their own audience when they failed to make the signings bigger stars than when they joined. All the hype and interest surrounding the smaller promotions has dwindled to such a degree that it's virtually none existent. It's even sucked the wind out of njpw on numerous occasions making anyone who joins a smaller star with time.

Darby has clearly worked very hard on his promos, and full credit to him. His delivery in this promo, was great....the problem, was the content, which put over the other company's top babyface about to main event Wrestlemania and buried their own company.

So, in Kayfabe, wasn’t Flair supposed to be here for his friend Sting during his retirement run? Speaking in reality, I feel bad about Sting. He deserved a lot better at several points in his career.

It’s pretty bad when Corny and uncle Dave agree on something. They both agreed how bad this was.

Poor Sting. As Samoa Joe once said: "I tripped end fell over some bad booking" That's been the case for sting for years now. Towards the end of his tna tenure, that horrible WWE run, now this. Dude should have had his retirement match been against Muta or Vampiro, hell even a singles program against Pentagon Jr could have been a banger. Instead we get this.

Horrible WWE run? The match vs HHH at WM was pretty damn good. He just happened to get injured vs Rollins, but it wasn’t bad booking.

His last run in TNA was pretty solid - that was his Insane Icon run - he put over Bobby Roode, Bully Ray, Magnus & EC3 on his way out. Apart from Bully Ray (which was all about the Aces & 8's) his last 3 feuds were against younger guys, helping them get established at TNA World Title level, who all had potential to use it to kick on to greater thing's (but all happened to leave the company not long after, to at best mixed results). The feuds & matches themselves were pretty decent considering he'd already started to show his age in the ring at that point.

The Bucks finally willing to lean into the real life scandal to make a story out of it when its 18 months too late... Meanwhile, it took The Rock a week to pivot and make big business out of it.

Just remember the Young Kucks got a bigger contract than teams like the Outsiders ' Hardy Boyz' Dudley's ' etc. Talk about rewarding a team for being a successful indy fad for a few years

The Cody chants is like McDonald's customers chanting, "Bur-ger-King!" inside their store. It's amazing.

Jim is the only creator who can put the sponsor break after the content and I still listen.

Darby forcing the crowd to chant for Cody, the biggest babyface in WWE who AEW willingly let walk out of their company, is going to be one of the biggest moments in the inevitable “what went wrong with AEW” documentary one day.

AEW was referencing the WWE almost every week in the beginning, videos have actually been made to show them all. This was bond to come back and bite them eventually.

Whenever the Bucks do something stupid that makes the company look even more bush-league than it already does, and people take it out on "the EVPs" as a group, I just picture Kenny burying his head in his hands and muttering "I just wanted to make a f***in' video game..."

The Bucks are as perfectly cast as EVPs about as much as James Ellsworth would be as John Wick. It just don't work.

The Bucks are the biggest parasite in modern wrestling I can remember. They leached from bullet club's peak popularity making people believe they were relevant when they weren't even BC main tag team, they are still leaching from Omega, the only one from the elite that has some impact, they are leaching from TK slowly killing his bussiness, they leached from FTR peak run at Wembley and now they are doing the same to Sting. They know that by themselves nobody gives a crap so they attach themselves to anything relevant

As if anyone watching AEW doesn’t know about Cody and WWE though. I mean, it’s not like they will switch channels to watch WWE.

My hope is Tony’s dad saw a recent episode of Raw and remembered the two big stars were just working for his boys company snd then had a sit down with his boy. Tony then convinces the Bucks that they’re going to “work” an angle about how they fucked his company then agreed to put their contracts on the line if they don’t beat Sting, then have Sting and Darby beat them unconscious and toss them in a crate post marked for Japan.
