I’m 29 and I watched Austin wrestle, I started watching wrestling every week around 1999-2000ish so I had 3 or so great years of wrestling I got to watch at least. I did also watch WCW in the mid 90s but it was kind of a blur until several years later when I had the chance to go back to watch Nitro episodes.

This was easily one of the best segments on RAW in a long time if not wrestling in general. KO worked the fans masterfully, the pops for "Austin" were real and KO channeled 100% Shawn Michaels in Montreal. Plus the fact this worked Tazz claiming KO ripped off AEW was just comical. This is why KO is getting to do something with Austin, he is clearly having the time of his life. This is why when that glass shatters in Texas at Mania it will blow every other pop out of the water, including "Happy-To-Be-Here" Punk in Chicago.

I'm 31 (born in 1990) and at 8-10 years old, i was there to see the rise of Austin and the great video games of that era. From 1998-2000 were the best years for me. I was aware of Sean Michaels and he was my favorite wrestler, but he wasn't doing much at that time from what I remember--I only knew of his stuff from buying old VHS tapes from earlier on in the 90s. Also, Shawn Michaels was always a secret character in the video games at the time, so his influence was still pretty much there. I can't imagine anyone younger than me having much of a memory of that time.

This was hilarious. He actually got me the 2nd time. When Thug Cena came back at that one WM I was convinced it was Punk because they showed footage of Babe Ruth and the Apollo mission. I love that Im able to fall for wwe trolling still.

@@corpyhogan4433 He just tries to shit on anything WWE does in any way possible. The reason he said this is the same reason he says his idiotic "What does the Rock know about the business side of wrestling?" whenever it's floated he could be a part-owner of WWE in the future. It's sadly obvious at this point and makes any segment on the WWE hard to listen to.

Jim is critiquing the segment as if there will be a legit match.....its not. This will be one of their make the crowds happy wrestlemania segments.....its the KO Show segment, they might even throw in Shawn and undertaker into the segment by the time it is over. Kevin never broke into serious, because he doesnt have a reason to yet.....it wont be till Austin is standing in front of him that will cause the switch to serious....until then, his entire role is just be a younger heel

I made a comment like this as well. Right now, Kevin is carrying the entire feud, with the fans as a substitute for the actual Stone Cold.
