I'm sorry that's not a competition. Robin Williams. This is odd for me considering I only recently discovered my love for him.

While both are more known for their comedic, hammy roles, they're at their best when they're allowed to be dramatic and low key. "Punch Drunk Love" and "Enternal Sunshine" may be some of the best performances from Sandler and Carrey, respectively.

Jim Carrey gave an incredibly chilling dramatic performance as Tadek, a grizzled cop investigating a murder conspiracy, in 2016, in a European film called "Dark Crimes". It's unfortunate that more people haven't seen it in my opinion, because it was amazing.

Although I gotta admit I don't hear any bad things about Adam as well. The main critics about Adam is that he was stalling for a long time until Uncut Gem made him popular again.

Watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, one of the best films of the century, and you’ll see a monotone and serious Jim Carrey. Even though he’s less monotone in the Truman Show, the film is a masterpiece and his performance in it is pretty iconic. Sandler was great in Punch Drunk Love and Uncut Gems, but he doesn’t touch Jim Carrey’s acting ability. Even though people find him annoying in some films, there’s no doubt that Carrey’s up there with the likes of Robin Williams, Peter Sellers, Bill Murray, etc when it comes to comedic actors and their switch to serious roles

@@bluestarthewlfdeadchannel3719 it’s not good to ever put 2 comedians in the lead roles in movies anyway. That’s why Jeff Daniels was in Dumb and Dumber with Carrey. Daniels is an actor not a comedian, which was what Carrey wanted. Jim Carrey knew that another comedian would just try to compete with him, an actor (like Jeff Daniels) would play off of Carrey and that’s what he wanted and that’s what Daniels did. So despite what you or I say, it wouldn’t have been a good idea to have Sandler in a movie with him anyway, just saying 🤷‍♂️

This was a tough list to create. Kudos for whoever wrote this script. These were super hard choices, and can be highly objectionable, but I think I agree with this list. It was just a fun watch. I love both actors and all the movies mentioned in this video, so it doesn't matter anyway :D But I will say that Uncut Gems really Effed me up. That was a great movie, and the one that's in my most recent memories.

Oh man I grew up with Jim Carrey's movies, watched them with the fam and it was always so frikin funny, will never forget that :D

I loved Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore growing up. I liked Sandler’s other stuff too, but since I have been about 21 I have just not enjoyed him in the same way. When I go back as an adult I like Dumb and Dumber, Ace Ventura, Cable Guy etc pretty close to when I was a kid. Carrey has just stayed with me more through the years.

They are Both equally funny🤣🤣~Most certainly irreplaceable~❤❤❤❤❤❤~

Most recently, I started to watch Adam Sandler’s movies more and more nowadays now that his movies are on Netflix. While I do love Jim Carrey’s performance as both Eggman, The Grinch, AND Truman, I like Adam Sandler a bit more. I did watch Click last year and JUST watched one of his heartfelt movies that JUST released on Netflix, The Hustle.

These two were my childhood comedians when I was growing up. I love them both

The video is wrong even in equating them as comedians. Jim is a comedian, Sandler tried and failed in comedy

If Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler had a baby than this new actor would have similar characters, biggest hits, and dramatic performances as Jim's and have talents and voice as Adam.

Jim Carrey vs. Adam Sandler is a more lopsided matchup than Conor McGregor vs. Jose Aldo. One is one of the most iconic comedic actors in cinematic history, and the other is Adam Sandler.

His buddies always steal the show from him in his movies, he ALWAYS plays the same character or “himself,” the plots of all his movies are pathetic and retarded, someone who always has all the same people in his movies just sucks anyway… what’s that all about? 🤨 even his so called “dramatic movies” are always the same as his comedies, he always plays this guy who loses his temper and starts beating everybody up. Adam Sandler Sucks!
