Yes, many glove enthusiasts here prefer no palm pads in their gloves. We love the feel of the ball.

Some are thicker, yes. I own a Kubota and did not notice much of a difference in the thickness of the leather compared to American gloves. Enthusiasts here prefer light weight, classic patterns, and mainly just quality leather and craftsmanship overall in their gloves. The younger crowd will be a little different as they want a game ready glove with a lot of flashy colors.

No, not in any store if that's what you mean. The easiest way to get one would be to have your cousin buy one and ship it to you.

I noticed that Japanese market gloves normally have a double-laced heel while North American gloves don't. Is there a benefit to having it?

Wow! cause most american gloves are thicker than japanese gloves,so I thought that american player usually perfer thicker glove. So most glove enthusiasts there also like thinner gloves like japanese?and why the popular glove RAWLINGS HOH is so thick (by comparison with japanese gloves)? sorry for asking so much questions,I'm a glove enthusiast from Taiwan.
