Even if the form is not good in a particular day a batsman has to stay in the crease, spend some time, leave some good balls, take some singles or doubles before hitting big. If he doesn't check the scoreboard too often focussing totally on his game and if he spends enough time in the field high chances are he will find himself in front of a century without even knowing. Similarly an average person who earns bare minimum to do some savings in his early or late 20s should start investing anyway no matter how little he invests. If he makes a habit of investing from an early age, when he will be 35 or 40 and will be having a better job and salary, he will suddenly realise that he is not as pure as he used to be. And that is the beauty of investing.

Just as a cricket team with a diverse set of players may be better equipped to handle different situations and challenges on the field, an investment portfolio with a mix of assets may be better able to withstand market fluctuations and achieve long-term growth.
