I been waiting for this show to air the day I saw that little pilot clip, I thought to myself " man this show will go far and it will do great! I would totally watch this" and then I kept waiting and hoping even though I know it said it've been cancel.

Definitely, anything Jhonen is a part of, I'd watch it. Jhonen vasquez is talented. Too bad big publishers doesn't like his work, because it's to daring and risky. If they only had taken a look at his fans, who loves everything he makes, they would see people would love it.

This video is like a year old but KZread recommended this to me so I watched it. I noticed a familiar drawing in the “Disney look at all this fanart” section and I can confirm at 6:28 my art of Frolie is there ( the one with the purple and blue gradient ) this is a surprise. I just wanna say thank you for deeming that drawing good enough for your video even if you most likely chose the fanart at random or possibly what little was shown in the VIH tags on social media. What a treat nevertheless, so sad about this show though. Disney was dumb for not picking it up

It's a shame to me that Very Important House did get green-lit by Disney as a full-fledged series. Even though it's been a while, I am a fan of Jhonen's Invader Zim series as well as the Enter The Florpus movie that premiered on Netflix back in 2019 and I do find it unfortunate Jhonen could not tell any and all great adventures and stories he had in mind when him and Jenny Goldberg came up with this show. Also, to be honest, Jhonen Vasquez is one of the many cartoon creators I would love to see more creative cartoon shows from which is another reason why I find it unfortunate this show didn't get picked up by Disney.

Ah man. I would have loved to see a new Jhonen Vasquez show! Loved Invader Zim so much and still do. I hope somehow this makes it out of the vault someday soon at least.

Why don't they ask their target audience? Like showing the pilot to kids or teens or whatever and let them decide? After all, they are their consumers, the ones providing them money, not these executives sat in their high horses. Disney doesn't respect their audience.

Disney thought this was too dark, yet they now have the amazing horror comedy Owl House. Which has magic and the demon realm. Also why do a lot of shows now have House in their name? Also I love this and Owl House and Modifyers.

You should put it on Disney plus since 10's is almost over on Disney Channel.

my opinion on someone who works in a adjacent industy to jhonen....development is a place where executives draw their inspiriation from. SO my guess is jhonen being the super talented person he is....the execs kept him on the menial salary of development. knowing damn well they were never going to pick up his series...but allowed him to be super creative as the execs watched and applied HIS creativity to other shows in the network. This is the way execs stay execs and keep ultra talented people like johnen as esssentially a creative director for the company but while under menial salary. And the moment the creative juices start to slow down, they have an easy out to let them go. ask me how i know.

Disney and CN do some really dumb moves and it’s like wtf. This show I’m sure would have been great along side gravity falls type of good. Quality, humor, and the premise were all there and grabbing from the looks of it. i believe jhonen worked best on his own in his comics and zim was great even of some jokes where cut. however i dont think jenny, the girl who helped him write jellyfist, some zim comics and this pilot really brings anything good to jhonen's style. she ruined the look of zim all for it to look like 'that other show,' rick and morty. jhonen did not need that

I miss his dark angular art its much-needed more visually appealing to me than the generic cutesy cal arts style he uses now

I mean if Jimmy Urine was gonna work on it it probably wasn’t gonna be good

jhonen always said he wouldn't do another kids show. makes me wonder why he agreed. money? and with disney of all networks. that really goes against everything jhonen stands for haha. they wasted 5 years of his life. what a darn shame. he hasn't done much of anything since zim ended in 2001 from the time the move finally came out in 2019, 18 years later. he had many offers to make jthm into a movie. nickelodeon always asked him to do more zim. his talent and time wasted. why did he never draw comics again? why did he never try to get an adult cartoon off the ground?

@@flask223 looks like a combination of Adventure Time, Star, Steven Universe, BaPC and Gravity Falls. Even I like some of those shows, this one to me this doesn't even feel like a good combination cuz the way they made it, from all the clips I've seen.
