Renowned Psychologist Dr Ravinder explains science and psychology of lieing.
I am introducing you to those methods by using which you can catch the lies of others even in normal life.
Let's start with the face.
The first complex indicator is when people usually touch their nose while speaking. Lier usually touches their nose.
While telling a lie, anxiety arises in the mind of the liar, due to which the body releases chemicals called catecholamines, there are erectile tissues in the nose, which fill with blood due to the increase of catecholamines. This produces a tingling sensation and the liar is forced to touch his nose.
Another complex indicator of a lie is an attempt to hide the face or to hide the eyes. Due to the attempt to hide the lie, the liar tries to hide his face with some excuse, sometimes brings his hand in front of the face with some excuse or tries to move the mouth here and there. He takes his eyes off your face even for a moment.
While telling a lie, a person thinks of controlling his voice a lot, in this process his voice becomes emotionless.
He speaks in a straight voice.
While telling a lie, the balance of both the sides of the face gets disturbed. Because the left side of our face is controlled by the right brain which is the emotional part and the left hemisphere of the brain which is the logical part controls the right side of the face. During a lie, both the hemispheres of the brain do not coordinate with each other, so one part of the face is saying something and the other part of the face is saying something else.
If a photo of a man is taken while lying and both its parts are seen separately then there will be difference in both the parts i.e. if one side lip is smiling then the other side lip will be neutral.
A complex indicator of lying is that the person lying will either give a much longer and detailed answer or be more brief than the person telling the truth.
Many people rub their neck while telling a lie because they feel tension and the movements in the body become faster and the biggest route is through the neck of the person. Suppose a boss gives a problem to his subordinate and the subordinate If he gives a false yes to do that work, then suddenly there will be an internal movement in his body and whose path will be his neck, so he can rub his neck many times, not once or twice.
Liars have another big habit, they will speak by highlighting the word hiding the truth in the cover of lies.
The effect of lies does not come only in the face, voice, body language, but its effect can also be seen in the handwriting of the speaker. Handwriting analysis is called Graphology. And there is a rule of Graphology that a liar whenever writes a,o, d,p, etc. In his round circle, he definitely puts something or the other in it, they don't remain hollow.
While telling a lie, the person who lies feels hot because the anxiety of hiding the truth increases the flow of blood in his body, so he pulls his collars in such a way as if he is trying to ventilate his neck.
The coordination of the person's speech and his body language also deteriorates while lying.
If a person says yes but does not nod their head, it may be a sign that they are not telling the truth. Because there is a coordination between our language and our body language in our mind.
In a study by psychologists, it has also come to the fore that the person lying rarely uses I and We and uses he, she, they, those more so that the matter is not around him.
A great way to catch someone's lie is also that when you are answering questions from him and you do not understand anything, then as soon as you leave from there, if you look through the camera at that time or you turn back, then that he must be giving one or the other complex indicator at the time. Because at that time he becomes a little relaxed.
