At the 6:00 minute mark, the CCM on the Tejas Mk1 is wrongly identified as the Astra Mk1. That is in fact the Russian R-73E WVR missile. The EDGE Aerospace Al-Tariq ER and Al-Tariq PGMs are in the process of being integrated with the Tejas Mk1A and will be offered for export variants.

Comparing Tejas with JF17 - 1) Dubai 2023 is the first time Indian Tejas and Pakistani jf17 came together at an air show. This is because during all previous air displays, Dubai 2021, LIMA 2019, Bahrain 2016, wherever the Indian Tejas participated, the Pakistani team cancelled their JF17 participation after ceding the participation fee. This is the first time after block 3 that Pakistanis finally feel comfortable showcasing their jf17 in front of Indian Tejas. Speaks volumes about Pakistani air force’s trust in their jf17 2) The manufacturing country China does not use jf17 and only exports it to poor countries 3) Even after buying 150 of these jf17 the Pakistan Air Force still relies mainly on their old American f16 and has also started buying Chinese J10 fighter, acknowledging their dissatisfaction with this junk jf17 4) The jf17 block 1 and 2 do not have AESA radar, no in flight refueling, only two dimensional fly by wire, all metal body causing high weight, low thurst weight ratio, older electronics and only Chinese weapons to fire 5) The new block 3 jf17 variant has a cheaper air cooled AESA radar unable to operate at max power and hence lower range. Further, block 3 retains the same old Russian rd93 based engines, uses pod based electronic warfare as well as same metal body and cheap build quality as older block 1 & 2 6) JF17 does not have sensor fusion capability and nor any active/shape stealth features to cater to the advancements in technology for going beyond the fourth generation of fighter aircrafts 7) The all metal airframe has poor manufacturing quality resulting in an availability of approx 40% for Pakistan Air Force The performance and reliability of jf17 is so bad that both export customers, Myanmar as well as Nigeria air forces have grounded this aircraft The availability numbers of Pakistani jf17 are mostly hidden by Pakistan Air Force, but Myanmar and Nigerian air forces are more vocal about their dissatisfaction. These have been detailed in pentapostagma as well as irrawaddy 8) Contrary to this, the Indian Air Force is impressed with the performance numbers of their baseline Tejas variant over the past four years, so much so that they have placed orders for 83 additional Tejas aircraft in improved mk1a configuration and ordering another lot of 97 more Tejas fighters 9) The Tejas aircraft is also evolving further with the mk2 variant as well as a naval variant called TEDBF, both of which incorporate sensor fusion and more fifth generation technologies

This was Indias second aircraft, but Indian manufacturing is not advanced enough to have created such a complex and advanced aircraft by itself. Russia and the US were copying things from each other left, right, and center during the Cold War. Please go look it up. If Pakistan and China created the JF17 via joint venture then there is nothing wrong with that. They recognize that individually, they could not create the aircraft independently. China had the industry, but Pakistan had the technical know how of the F16 and what would help them make a good fighter. JF 17 is now on its 3rd block while the Tajes is still working on evaluations even though the IAF has oreldered the aircraft. Also everyone acknowledges that the JF17 has had help from outside sources. Otherwise, it would not be flying. It's India, which is in denial in thinking it created the Tajes by itself.

Tejas is a kit assembly toy. Its engine comes from the United States, radar and wireless equipment come from Israel, gas tanks, radome, ejection seat come from the UK, cockpit avionics come from France, and gun turrets come from Russia. Only the shell of the aircraft is manufactured in India.

Radar: This is in joint development with Elta but a custom Radar for LCA as per Indian requirements Targeting pods LRUs : These are the brains of the aircraft and are quasi Indian. They use imported silicon Chips (we don't have semiconductor capability). However the actual circuit board, system design, standards for interface and the software are 100% Indian. Missiles: Some are licence produced and others are fully Indian. Its a mix. Fully imported: Radar covering cone i.e the front cone section of the aircraft which is a quartz-based structure imported from UK. Engine from the USA Ejection seats silicon semiconductor ICS indigenous content of the LCA-Tejas presently stands at 75.5% by numbers and 59.7% by Value of the aircraft.

Just one technical explanation is enough to show how teethless this jet would be in real combat. Both jets RCS is classified but I am taking it on the basis of claims made by websites of respective countries. RCS of JF-17 is 3m2 & it’s obvious with it metal body, whereas Tejas being designed keeping stealth in mind with composite delta frame & GE404 refined engine is half of this JF17. This is not my claim - The RCS is 1/3rd of Mirage 2000 by top defence experts which makes it around 1.5m2, meaning Tejas will see an approaching JF-17 at 150 km whereas a JF 17 will only be able to see a Tejas when it’s 75 km away as RCS is half. Ignoring both claims let’s take Tejas RCS as 2m2 for Pak satisfaction, still considering Tejas's delta wing, composite air frame, refined engine & smaller size even with 2m2 - Tejas will detect your Thunder 150km away & the Thunder will only be able to see the Tejas at around 100 km distance keeping into consideration both the fighters Radars won't be able to see beyond 150 km being a small radar & lower power. The RD 93 is a poor under-powered smokey engine which leaves smoke trials easy to pick for any modern fighter's radar in BVR. It may be bitter & hard pill to swallow, but just this fact is enough to negate & invalidate JF17’s in the present BVR & EW era comparing to any modern fighter. We don’t even have to go into the capability of the Chinese Radars, Jammers & the tall claims of 150-300 km missiles of BVR. It’s a technical debunk any expert & sensible buyer will know & laugh at. Just before trolls go beserk with the fact mentioned, let me tell you, you can forge or dupe the capabilities of your Radar, Jammer, EWS, IRST, missile's range or other specs until you get it to war exercise or real combat, but RCS is something basic which cannot be forged. For eg; JF 17 was pitched to Malaysia & Myanmar both have Su 30's & MIG 29's. RCS is something basic any airforce will first look at as it's verifiable. If the inspecting person or people are experienced pro, they will know the EWS & Radar capability also with in 4-5 tests

Yeah Indian Navy rejected naval version of Tejas and India was developing TEDBF for induction in Navy though In my opinion Indian navy will not develop TEDBF instead they will acquire naval version of Rafale. though it is not confirmed yet

Navy has a policy of not inducting single engine fighter jets in the navy. The sea water can effect engine performance and it can cause accidents. With twin engine it is much safer. Even the F-35 had accidents in the navy. Single engine fighter jet for Navy is a bad idea. Even Tejas mk2 won't be inducted in the Navy despite it having higher thrust and payload. It is because it is single engine.

this jf 17 of yours is not r&d in pakistan its only licensed manufatured in pakistan that too also everything coming from vhina just assemble, india has entire ecosystem and industry for fighter aircrafts since long, your airframe is borrowed from china who in turn borrowed from soviets, which they dont use. even china doesnt use jf17. only nigeria and myanmar bought it in limited numbers as they are vassal states of china like pakistan is. engine is russian too much smoke, no stealth and fuel efficient capabilities. all chinese weapons only, india has wide range of french american indian russian Israeli and english and now emirati weapons also. its a high drag to lift design airframe pakistan wont know it as there is no aeronautical agency or academia related to aeronautics in pakistan.

😂😂😂 Tejas/Tejulaal/Teja/the ultimate samosa 1. It's not an indigenously built aircraft, 90 percent parts including the crucial ones like engine, radar, ejection seat and also the weapon packages are foreign, meaning if the respective countries don't allow then Teja can't be produced. Only assembled in India. So calling it's an Indian aircraft is the first lie. 2. Cheap copy of decade old mirage 2000. Frankly speaking this don't even look like a mere 4th generation aircraft. Looks already outdated and feels like an unfinished prototype. 3. They made/assembled an aircraft which only effective role fits as a trainer aircraft, that took almost 40 years to build with 90 percent foreign parts making it a khichdi, end result : own air force seems hesitant to induct it. 4. Just looking at the back to back in this video, jf 17 looks way more premium, thoughtfully engineered and better finished. Tejas is looking like a tin a dabba, not literally but somehow those poorly finished side panels and coarse surfaces saying it loudly. 🤞

Tejas an Indian Samosa has nothing to compare with JF17 with any block. A single PL15E is well enough for TEJAS not even for TEJAS for Raffale or Sukhoi or any Indian Aircraft with long range and AESA capabities. Pakistan will never disclose the actual range of PL15 but in exercises it has been tested till 280 plus KM. Recently in Dubai Airshow this Tejas could not even fly in front of JF17. TEJAS after 35 Years of development still can not conduct any mission even IAF is not accepting. JF17 even defeated Raffale in inverted flight in an air show and the world has witnessed that. Next time in any air conflict with Pakistan just send TEJAS for any dogfight or BVR combat with any PAF plane in result you will get your answer. The training of PAF pilots is world class and beyond every thing the daring heart the lion heart they have. India should feel ashame that they are almost 3.5 times bigger Airforce and beaten up by 3.5 times smaller Airforce with 6 times more defence budget so simply it's the quality not the quantity. Pakistan has returned Indian pilots on many occasions to India whether in 65, Kargil or 2019. So wait let the time come. Globally everyone has witnessed PAF capability, World remembers that, THE TEA IS FANTASTIC It will be our pleasure if you give us an opportunity to be hospitable again.
