I used to play this album (especially this song) on repeat on my Walkman while riding my bike at 14/15. Jewel was and still is my very favorite artist. I’m been lucky enough to get to see her perform a few times. Such a spectacular performer.

Jewel is my favorite female singer right beside Stevie Knicks to me. I was 15 yrs old and on the run when I had sex for the first time and she got pregnant at 14, she used to listen to Jewel and she looked almost identical to her as well. I did what I had to do bc I just fell so in love with her bc that girl loved me like something I never felt and so she just grabbed ahold of me 100%.And I always told her (jokingly) I was sorry but if Jewel ever came to concert in my city (Knoxville TN) that I was going to get on stage and tell her I wanted to marry her. But Every time she did come to Knoxville for a concert I was locked up. Ain't that something! I still love Jewels music like I did back then and I always will hold her music close to my heart bc it gives me a certain feeling that I wish I could live in until the death of me.

She was the second artist I saw in concert. The first was Indigo Girls. Both were in the summer of 1997.

same here. I fell in love with Jewel when I was 10 years old and heard "who will save your soul" on the radio. Her music brought my dad and I closer. Our arguing always paused when Jewel's music was playing in the background. Her song "daddy" pretty much sums up the last ten years of my life. "go ahead an psychoanalyze that." This song isn't too bad, but her country songs are more annoying than unique.

i miss her old music...but she is still a wonderful artist no matter what type of music she sings...it always has meaning :)

This album was the soundtrack of the years I grew from a child into a woman. Thank you for the music and memories. 🦋

Terrific song...yet another victim of very minimal airplay on the radio in its heyday. Very underrated tune, IMO.

Jewel’s not underrated she just knows how to balance manage her career and private life and still enjoy making music, not choosing the Hollywood flashy lifestyle makes her music more valued as authentic and appreciated.
