Jet2 Boeing 737-800 Porto Santo to Madeira Funchal | Full Flight

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

After a rather impromptu visit to the lovely Island of Porto Santo, I was looking forward to getting back to FNC, seen as I had very little time until my return flight to MAN. After sitting on the ground for around 3 hours, the conditions finally improved and we started up, taxied out and departed off Runway 36, absolutely stunning views of the rugged landscape of Porto Santo can be seen as we climb out. The flight itself lasted roughly 10 minutes and we reached a cruise level of FL060 for around 3 minutes, we then dropped back through the clouds, luckily this time the runway was in view, and then began an approach to 05, the captain made one final PA prior to landing that got all of us cheering and clapping. 4 hours later than planned we started our final turn and touched down on 05, we parked on stand and I was briefly allowed into the flight deck, thanks again to the fantastic crew!
Once again massive props to Jet2 and the crew for making sure we were looked after and well informed, after a long day I was glad to be down in FNC with just enough time to make my return flight. Hope you enjoy this rather unorthodox flight video instead of the spotting video I was planning to upload!

@@piusx8317 They are head and shoulders above Ryanair which is a budget Airline. Travelled with them to Greece 4 times now. Quick check in at Manchester, their own security area, well maintained aircraft and fantastic selection of hotels. Stopped booking with Tui and Thomas cook, Jet 2 are much better. Roll on September back to Rhodes with them. The A330 they use is comfortable also, 242 seating and decent legroom.

@@marcgardner868 I don't care!! Just pointing out it's a low cost carrier. At least they share one thing in common with Ryanair is how tacky the flight attendants are trying to sell you food and products so they can get an extra 5% commission.

In the 80's I remember taking off from Funchal and stopping at Porto Santo to get more fuel (bound for UK). Runway was shorter then and weather was bad, I believe it was quite common back then. Porto Santo was very barren in those days compared to now looking at this vid. Nice to see it again!

The 737-8MG does exist, I am very aware that it is a Boeing 737-800NG, the "MG" is the company code given by boeing. For example all of Ryanair's 737's are 8AS's and Jet2's new aircraft are 8MG's
