Jet2 Boeing 737-800 Manchester to Madeira Funchal | GO AROUND + DIVERSION | Full Flight

My first flight with Jet2 since 2015 ended up being an extremely memorable experience. First time on one of Jet2's 737-800's and I lucked out and got G-JZHO, one of the newer aircraft with the sky interior. We boarded on time, taxied out and departed Runway 23R (We were the first to use it) and climbed out over Wales. Not long after I was served the meal I Pre-ordered. Cumberland Sausage and Mash, it was an absolutely fantastic meal! After an impressive air to air shot with a Wamos A330 we encountered some heavy turbulence that lasted most of the flight, shortly after half 1 we began our descent into FNC where we had to hold due to low cloud, we did 10 laps of the ABUSU hold before the captain decided to make an approach to Runway 05, things looked good as we dropped out the clouds but within seconds all visibility was lost, TOGA was then applied and we aborted the landing, climbing up to 3000 feet where we levelled off and then began an approach to our diversion airport of Porto Santo, the scenery was stunning as we made a smooth landing on Runway 36 and parked next to G-JZBD that had also diverted.
I have to say, Jet2 were AMAZING, the flight itself was fantastic with a great cabin, fantastic food and a very friendly and professional crew. As we got closer to FNC the captain gave us regular updates about the situation and kept us well informed. This continued once we landed into PXO. Overall, a first class experience, what a way to experience my first aborted landing and diversion!
On an ironic side note, this aircraft is the same one I filmed Go Around twice and divert during Storm Callum!

The -8MG is just a regular -800. ‘MG’ is just the customer code assigned by Boeing.

Excellent flight video mate, that looked like a very nice in-flight meal too. Love sausages and mash 👍✈ Nice sighting of that Wamos Air A330 too. Very ironic this is the one you filmed going around, maybe it doesn't like bad weather lol. Liked 👍

Seeing the wing is kinda the point of the video, and you do see a fair amount of other things involved in the flight. If you dont like Jet2 that's your opinion, don't fly with them then!
