Jet2 Boeing 737-800 Manchester to Lanzarote | Full Flight
With the scrapping of virtually all COVID restrictions relating to travel between the UK and Spain, now seemed as good as ever to have a long weekend away on one of the Canary Islands. Now we all know that I love a good long distance day trip with Madeira & Tenerife as two fairly recent examples. But this time I opted for 3 days and 2 nights in an all inclusive hotel in the resort of Matagorda with Jet2Holidays.
Departure was once again out of Manchester's new T2. I opted not to film the departure experience as it was nearly identical to that of my experience flying to Barcelona only a few months ago (VIDEO: • Jet2 Boeing 737-800 Ma... ). This mornings aircraft was G-JZHX, once again I seem to be avoiding the older 737-800's. We were onboard on time however didn't push until around 25 minutes behind schedule due to a slot restriction. Takeoff today was on Runway 05L for a change with a lovely sounding takeoff run where you can see de-ice fluid streaming off the wing as we accelerate. Once airborne we got some lovely views of Manchester and Liverpool in some surprisingly lovely weather. Once at cruise it was time for breakfast which was as good as ever on Jet2. Some lovely views along the way before starting our approach into a very windy and cloudy Lanzarote. We landed not long after 12:30 and were parked shortly after.
So overall, another brilliant flight with Jet2 and an excellent way to kick off the holiday. Easy departure experience from Manchester. A very comfortable cabin with the SkyInterior, fantastic and friendly service from the crew, lovely pre-order food and an easy ground experience after making up almost all the delay time. Jet2 earn top marks from me once again!

@@silvershoes9724 Nope The Jet2 check in area was quiet and security wasn't bad no large queue made the flight in time
Great video enjoyed the views of Manchester city centre on take off ❤i really enjoyed the descent part showing the wingflex absolutely brilliant 👏

Seems to me the automated announcements had failed to work on this aircraft so the crew had to manually read them out- great video as always 👍

Thanks mate! They're in the process of recording some newer up to date ones with the latest change in Covid regulations, it was the same on my return flight as well!
