You're right, and the scripture you are speaking of is when Peter is rebuking Jesus when Jesus told him He would suffer and die. Jesus told Peter, " Get behind Me Satan. You are not mindful of the things God, but of men." So Jesus understood it wasn't Peter, but Satan that was taking control in Peter through weakness. So my question is how do we help people like this be fixed, or can we help?

Had he actually studied theology, he’d see the problem with being homosexual while professing to be a pastor. He talks about accepting Christ into your heart. The first thing that happens when you do that, is He reveals your personal sins to you, and urges you to correct course. The “ I’m a same gender loving man” line was pure diversion. Then it’s “I’m a homosexual pastor”. Anyone can say they’re a pastor, but that doesn’t mean they’re God called. He believes that God can be whatever he needs Him to be? That’s not theology. That’s new age spiritualism.

There’s nothing gay about hell? That doesn’t even begin to make sense in reference to this video. This "Pastor" held his composure and spoke gently for quite some time, I will say that. As a former homosexual, that was one of the first things the Lord took away from me when I surrendered MY ENTIRE LIFE, meaning my vocation, finances, romantic life and all plans. After hearing I'd go to hell for it for so long, I didn’t think it wise to go if there was a way out if it was in fact true. God has healed me in MANY ways since then and this spirit came into my life by way of molestation. So many others suffered this also, but have succumbed to a false identity. I'm giving glory in advance for the numbers increasing on the side of the delivered and restored in every area.

Agreed. He's definitely doing a bit of trolling for sure, but with the truth. But because of the way he does it, I think people see it as disingenuous even though it's not. I first started listening to his show because it was so funny to me - but eventually I started to understand what he was actually saying. I'm Asian and slow, so it took me a while to get it. His bit about forgiving your parents is so good. I think it's something we ALL need to do.

At least he can tell the truth. Many of us can't admit we are born sinners. He seeks God's grace, and devotes his life to spreading His love, despite the ostracism he receives. He's brave enough to sit through this interview knowing where the conversation was going to head. He isn't perfect but God loves him the same as any of us. Because none of us our. I admire his courage, and I pray that he overcomes his temtations.

@@King-ns7it It depends on how you interoperate certain versus, like in Genisis 1:27 it talks about him creating man and women in his image, there are a few other examples where he is just referred to as a spirit, but it's a reasonable interoperation if you consider that a being which is all powerful would by definition have the power to be both (or more likely neither), and if you consider that they needed to use some pronoun for god, so they went with 'he' since god is a patriarchal figure. I think trying to enforce our biology of male and female onto a being that literally has no biology is a bit silly when you think about it.

Religion causes stupidity just as often as drugs or alcohol do. Playing the whole donation card doesn't really work on a global scale. It takes knowledge and understanding. That's why this man went to school to further his understanding of God and the world, yet supposed Christians are demonizing him because he had to go looking for God instead of 'letting the holy spirit in.' Good for him, I say. I was raised Protestant and know what a Christian should be. Going out of your way to infuriate a guest that you 'wanted to learn more about' isn't Christian in the slightest. The thing I find interesting is that he says he being gay is his innate state of being. Yet when he speaks about God, he says God can be whatever you want. Which implies God has no innate state of being. So he puts humans above God. What pastor doesn’t understand the nature of God let alone the nature of Christ? Just like all religious people, he fits his religion to fit his own beliefs. How can someone who is gay be xian when the bible says the penalty is death? Plus he is a black man and the bible tells you how to on slaves. He can't change who he is attracted to, that is who he is, and if you believe god made everything then you have to believe god made gay people (and then tells them they will die if they simply be what he made them to be. It is not a choice, go ahead and try right now to choose to be attracted to the opposite sex, or to cars, or furniture. You can't. At least as a Christian and believer of the Bible. He can profess to be saved in another faith but you aren't going to skate past the explicit condemnation of homosexuality in Christianity. Particularly as someone claiming to be a pastor. He does not believe he has committed some sins that he has committed because he doesn't believe they are sinful despite it being in black and white on the pages of the book he professes to be an expert in.

I believe the man just had an experience of an event in his life where he was scared to hell and came down from that hyped up feeling realizing he survived something that terrified him. And thought it was God that intervened so he should become a preacher because God gave him a miracle. Because I believe in real life all the pieces did not fall in place for him to see himself falling the way he seen others do in that situation. And due to this he took it up on himself to call it a miracle and God is calling to him to preach because he's really not ready. I find it very hard to leave people in One Direction you're obviously going in a different direction like the saying goes practice what you preach and if you preach anything you're not convinced of you're a false preacher it's not your time yet.
