In this video is so much going on because there are scenes from polish movie "Chłopi" (eng. "Peasants", based on Noble prized book by Władysław Reymont) from which this song is. Additionally every frame in this movie was hand painted and then they compiled it into one "animation" (just like in the movie "Your Vincent"). This song was probably sent to TVP in shorter version, and staging would be pretty hard to do in only 6 people on stage...

This is a song from the movie Peasants (CHŁOPI) - the movie is based on the Nobel Prize-winning novel of the same title. The film was submitted to the Oscars in many categories. In Poland, children read this book at school because it is compulsory reading.

It's polish village, 1883/1884. This is a story of Jagna, who was the prettiest girl in a village, an artistic soul. Her mom wanted for her to have a good future, so they arranged mariage with older, but rich widower Boryna, a land owner, whom Jagna didn't love (and her mom knew about it, but told her daughter "love comes and goes, but land remains"). Jagna is in love with Boryna's son from his first marriage. In addition, because Jagna is very beautiful, many men from treir village desires her, there are rumors about her tempting others, so the woman in the community get jealous. This music video is a compilation of scenes from the movie, most scenes are from Janga and Boryna's wedding, some are secret meetings of lovers, and when she's in a red dress she's in a dancing whith youth and the one she loves (and it's when the old men realizes what's going on). I won't spoil the end of the story, but the 2023 Peasants film is very good, I highly recommend watching it if you can.

One of the singer is Kayah and Dagadana. Kayah was singing with Cesaria Evora and Goran Bregovic. I really recommend her. It is based on Władysłam Reymont "Peasants" novel which received Nobel Literature Prize. This is story of Jagna (the bride) who married old guy, but had affair with his son (the handsome one who kisses her under the tree). This movie was PAINTED. Animation but instead of drawing they hires 100 painters who created over 30000 frames by oil paintings. Same like they did with "Vincent" (Vincent van Gogh). Here the art style bases on Józef Chełmoński.

I will add for the non-Polish audience that the film from which the song comes is a film adaptation of the novel ''Chłopi'', for which ninety years ago the Polish writer Władysław Stanisław Reymont (1867-1925) was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature. I don't know where this stupid idea that this film has anything to do with Eurovision comes from. but this stupid idea is repeated by beginner streamers who are not yet competent

Nadaje, niech zaznają trochę dobrego polskiego folkloru, bo i tak wygrywa najczęściej piosenka z konkursu wzajemnej adoracji państw sąsiadujących.

Uważam że nadaje się. Wystarczy dobre show na scenie, taniec. Ludzie lubią oglądać Teatr, gdy coś się dzieje po za samym śpiewem. Dlatego też w tamtym roku wygrała Loren. Emocje itp. więc uważam że ta piosenka miała by szansę, tak samo jak piosenka Justyny

whaaaaat? this is a perfect song for ESC. It is an international contest where countries show off their unique culture. This song is more Polish than Poland itself. Literally would be the best choice of Poland so really send this!

This is a movie based on a Nobel Prize-winning novel. Władysław Reymont is the winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature for his novel 'The Peasants - Chłopi'. This is the epic of Polish village life at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The film is shot using a unique technique. The authors transform the real film image into animation and add scenes like in an animated film. This movie was nominated for an Academy Award this year. The first film using this technique is Loving Vincent (2017)
