In this week's edition of the Jerusalem Lights podcast, Jim Long and Rabbi Chaim Richman welcome special guest Yochanan (John) Castellanos to the program. A pure spirit before ABBA FATHER. There are so many of us in the same boat. As this one continuously search and research my faith leads me to men and women in the arets(earth) who are also pure in heart. For example: in my heart I know we must wait on THE HAND OF ABBA to break the chains of the doctrines we were hidden in. In order to hide our Hebraic roots. As this one return also to my roots, I pray the rabbi will allow me to join the zoom class on the book of Isaiah this Sunday. 😢. Thank you so much for sharing your love for the truth that we all know is in the Turah/Torah

Welcome home John. Wow! Your story brought tears to my eyes. I can relate so much to your story. I was also a member of a Sabbath keeping church, a cousin of John’s former religion, seventh day Adventist church. As John stated his family is from the north part of Mexico, the north part of Mexico (Nuevo Leon) this region was form by Jewish people who left Spain and Portugal. It is know that also the south part of USA (Texas) has people with Jewish decency and don’t know it. Many people from Mexico and other Latin America countries have Jewish roots and don’t know it. Many Jews were forced to convert in Spain and Portugal, and then moved to America. My DND shows a low Jewish percentage from my dad’s side, but we don’t know whom from his background mother or father side was the Jewish descendant. The truth is that our creator is calling on his children to return to him. I’m have two young adult boys who grew up in the church. We stopped attending during and after the pandemic. During the pandemic is when I discovered the true God of Israel. Now, I’m on a journey with God’s light to help my two son’s see the truth. It is super difficult because we are surrounded by Christianity believes but we are learning though KZread videos like this channel, Tovia Singer and Tanakh Talk. Keep us in your prayers 🙏

Bereshit 48 15 And he blessed Joseph and said, "God, before Whom my fathers, Abraham and Isaac, walked, God Who sustained me as long as I am alive, until this day, 16 may the angel who redeemed me from all harm bless the youths, and may they be called by my name and the name of my fathers, Abraham and Isaac, and May They Multiply Abundantly like fish, in the midst of the land."

HaShem works wonders and knows the deepest secrets in a human’s soul and eventually when time is right that person should return home where the people at the giving of the Torah were keeping a candle 🕯️ for each one of us as we stood there with the rest of them waiting for us to return home as was mentioned in Rabbi Maurice Lamm writes in his book “Becoming a Jew”. Thank you to Yohansn for the retelling of his awesome journey and most of all thank you Rabbi Chaim Richman, your crew and Jim for making it possible. May HaShem bless you all and keep you safe.

@613debbie and any other fans of soup: Rabbanit Richman makes a lot of wonderful soups. Lentil is one of the favorites but there are many others. Here is a message she shares with you: "There are many ways to make lentil soup. Here is one yummy way using the red (orange) lentils.. Sauté onion garlic celery in a little olive oil--or any oil that you have. Add small cubes of sweet potato, chopped mushrooms of any type, yellow squash chopped fine add some sage parsley, a bit of coriander if you like the taste salt pepper-a little vinegar or lemon juice, a bit of cumin and turmeric. Add rinsed red lentils add water to cover. Throw in some fresh spinach if you have any. Let cook for around 2 hours on a low simmer, stirring occasionally. Adjust spices to taste--slowly add more water if you prefer a thinner soup. I don't have an exact recipe. You can't go wrong with the above add more or less of anything according to your taste preference. Enjoy ))" Wishing you success and blessings in the soup, and in everything you do!!!!
