Thank you for shining light on this problem. This policy affects women veterans because most of my medical procedures are handled outside of the VA because the VA doesn't know how to handle women especially aging women.

Can I sue the V.A. for medical malpractice? I broke my neck, didn't know it. The V.A. treated me for torn rotator cuffs. Never told me I broke my neck, and they knew! Told me to not fall down again but never told me or treated me. 20 years later I'm looking at paralysis from calcium intruding my spinal cord and nerves. Can I sue the V.A. for the Mal practice?

@@karefair12 when president Trump came in the V. A. Got nice all of a sudden and sent me to a civilian specialist, that's when I found out. And they were authorized me to go to any emergency hospital I wanted to get surgery on my lower back and neck. I was hesitant, then Traitor Joe Biden got in and the V.A. doesn't care anymore. That's what I was hesitant about, and I was right

You should have tried years ago! Statute of limitations might be in play. Talk to a lawyer.

@@Hard_Car_Life that's what I have always figured! But it's been pointed out by a civilian doctor. That might not be an issue sense they lied about it and refused to tell me.

I worked at the VA during the "Choice" years, and I can tell you, it was total chaos for the medical staff, pharmacists (especially), and employees to issue the onslaught of referrals in the Choice program. Not only did it take money away from the VA, but they had to institute a new department to handle the new work load. The VA that I worked at started hiring specialists to keep veterans at VA, that's how draining the Choice program was financially. Everyone complains about "too many government employees" but when new programs are installed such as this, it causes complete chaos and the need to hire many new employees! There was a huge sigh of relief when it all finally stopped. He said the VA is looking to fire/ letting go, 10,000 employees. How will they be able to handle another "Choice" program with no one to work it or oversee it? That Choice program was a complete mess as well! I've never seen more disgruntled higher up's having to deal with this nightmare of a program. It was a complete headache!
