We call him "Uncle Jerry" in our house. The only movies my 9 month old had seen in his life are Jerry Lewis movies on Sunday night family dinner. And we have every episode of the Colgate comedy hour💙 RIP Uncle Jerry!

took my then 9yo daughter to see Jerry at The Sydney Opera House in 2008. She loves him more than any other comedian then or now. That's longevity. He and Dean were the best double act ever.

Dog OfKrondor - I took my daughter who was 12 at the time to the same 08 tour:) we're in Perth. It was one of the greatest nights of my life, made more perfect by Jer inviting fans on stage to speak with him, as I'm sure he did at all his shows. It had been a life long dream to meet him. 😊 I felt incredibly happy to be able to share such a special night with my daughter. She loves him too and completely understands why I love him the way I do. He is timeless, magical and brilliant❤❤❤

OK, it should be said: *Whatever else you may say about Jerry Lewis, he was an absolutely amazing comedic performer FOR OVER 70 YEARS in a business that tends to eat people up and spit them out inside of 5 or 10 years.*(!) Probably the greatest CLOWN of all time. tremendous energy and verve and drive.

You gave me many happy moments during a terrible violent childhood, and I thank you!

Those were the days. I remember a different world from what we have today. Some things are better. But the classy people like Jerry are long gone. Great interview!

RIP Jerry... you certainly left your mark on this world. Amazingly a very talented and intelligent man. My fav comedian of all time for sure.

Still funny... knows how to be himself, honest, straight forward.. and still funny... not trying to be anything other than who he is at this moment.. very intelligent person, and performer..

Yes, it's very sad. I will miss him being in the world. He was funny, honest, and opinionated. He was never boring, that's for sure.

He could play cool or stupid yet always be funny. RIP Jerry Lewis, the king of all clowns.

Old age softens some people....it's lovely to see Jerry with all the sharp edges taken off him....all that defensive nature of his evaporated...laughed so much growing up in the sixties watching him and Dean doing their stuff ! When he was on top form he was really special !

I grew up with all Jerrys movies . It just occurred to me Marilyn Monroe kept her child in herself alive and that was her drawing power just like Jerry. He took us safely there in his movies and you always felt good afterwards . He's smart as a whip.

@Neckbeard He doesn't want terrorists in the country. Not all Syrian refugees are Muslims, you do know that right? ISIS has infiltrated refugee camps, and within the refugee population. We need more vetting before we let anybody in, that is why he wanted them to stay there. Never once did he say anything against Muslims, he spoke specifically about ISIS and Syrian refugees, so stop making stuff up!

Sorry about that. This was 6 yrs ago, and this content was only available on a blu ray disc. There was no way to rip content from a blu ray then. If it had been available on dvd, I would have been able to.

He does and has. He used to do special for Oral Roberts in the 1970's. His first wife was also a Catholic. He is in comedy however and was making a joke. As a Christian, I'm not in the least bit offended.

Jerry is one of a kind. The way he thinks is different than the rest of us. Thats what makes him great but its a very lonely place to be. Bitterness is inevitable.
