I got to see him in Paragould, Arkansas not many years before he passed. I've seen several comedy acts live over the years. He was one of the best! 😊

@mela 1:54 niepaigehighfill-gassa8638 Paragould still have a State CMV inspection station? It's probably one of Arkansas' most profitable offices.
Jerry's grandson,Jayree was a good friend of mine growing up. I've eaten lunch at his house in Liberty Ms several times,he was a strong, funny, kind man,the type of man we need more of in today's world. RIP Mr. Jerry

Grandfather knew Jerry Clower. He was a Baptist preacher for many years in SW Miss. Liberty, McComb, Gloster. He loved Jerry Clower. I grew up hearing Mercy Mercy Uncle Versey. Never knew who Uncle Versey was. Lol
Yazoo City, MS native here. My dad built custom cabinets in his house on Easy Street. Mr. Clower was a nice, humble man who lived up to his Christian faith.
Theres not another comedian like him. He is awesome.
When I was a kid I was a big fan of Hee Haw . Jerry was on from time to time. Loved watching him. Great comedian
Clean, family fun. Now you can’t watch network tv for all the foul language and other “unfittin” things. Jerry Clower, Red Skelton, Tim Conway and such had a talent that went far deeper than most today.
Back in my driving days over into the S.E. I used to hear Jerry on a radio station. One day I found a display of his cassettes at a TA in Georgia… after that I kept my eye open for new ones to play in my Semi 👍❤️
I love me some Jerry Clower! Funniest man I ever heard...😂
He was hilarious and clean. I love his bit about meeting a womens libber
Always puts a smile on my face. My dad bought every Jerry clower lp he could find when I was a kid. We’d sit and listen for hours to his stories.. a true southern legend ..
My uncle who grew up on the Louisiana-Mississippi line on the Louisiana side opposite of Vicksburg, Miss. My uncle looked so much like Jerry and he talked like him and told his jokes. They had family friends in common. My uncle passed away three years ago and as he was a second father to me I miss him dearly so when I really start missing him I watch Jerry and it makes it a bit better.

God bless you, like my mother told me "son you'll never get over me dying , you just will learn how to live with it "
I ran sound for him, on two different occasions, many years ago, in a small, local venue. He was just the same off stage, as he was on it. I was impressed with how nice and friendly he was, to the "help".
Jerry was the greatest comedian to ever do it and the whole family could listen to him.
A true king of comedy
Lord have mercy I did enjoy listening to that man. Seen him in concert one time. I'll never forget it.
This Gentleman ... was a CHAMP. The real deal, through and through
I remember listening to him on my grandpa's front porch with him 30 years ago. Oooo the memories his voice brings back!!! 🥲
Been listening to Jerry Clower about 55 years still cracks me up.
Reminds me so much of my daddy. I love this man and always will.
I heard this story about 1000 times and it’s great every one.
I had the pleasure to see Jerry perform at an arts and crafts festival in Georgia in the summer of 1992. I will never forget sitting in the grass in a field in front of the stage.
First time I ever heard him was just now...and I laughed...need more of this in today's times..laughter without filth
Saw Jerry at a farm show in Goldsboro NC in the early ‘80s. Came out in a baby blue tuxedo and by the time he finished had the whole place rolling on the floor.
This famous comedian came to our little county fair every year. After the show he would hang around for hours and talk to everyone and would usually go to dinner afterwards with some guests. My grandmother and I met him so many times that I thought he was part of the family. RIP old friend!!!
When a comedian has to laugh with the audience he just slayed... the greatness.
I knew this one but had to hear it again when it showed on my feed.classic
I watched Mr. Jerry Clower do a show at the 1984 County Fair in Hohenwald, Tennessee. He was wearin' one of his fancy leisure suits and cowboy boots. He never said the first cuss word had the crowd in stitches the whole time he was on stage. It was one of the best comedy shows I'd ever seen in my life. That was 50 years ago and I can still picture him on the stage a cuttin' up and carryin' on. There'll NEVER be another Jerry Clower. ❤
Clean country humor. A laugh a minute. Can't get any better than Jerry Clower.
The greatest country comedian ever. Put him in the grand ole Opry.
He was THE BEST!!!!! RIP Jerry…. You are still missed and loved…
What fun to come across this video! Jerry Clower & Lulu Roman visited my home church growing up-autographs in my bible- good people good memories!
Great story teller! Thank you, Jerry!
Good memories. Thank you!
Every thing he ever said was hilarious!
I can listen/ watch this over and over again!👍👍
Oh my word! My parents had an album of this guy way back in the early 80’s! I played that thing every evening until I practically wore it out!
Thanks for sharing.
I got to see him and Tammy Wynette at a Concert at Dollywood. I got him to sign my Ticket stub. He was the nicest man you ever wanna meet
*Blessings, to all who listen to these beautiful songs, GOD bless me with all my heart I wish the best for your lives 🙏🙏❤🙌*
JERRY CLOWER WAS A TRIP, AND A NICE FELLOW TOO - BRAVO!!!!!!!
My momma played fiddle once at a barn down south and this man was there making people laugh it was one of my happy memories
I remember setting in my buddys truck listening to Jerry on the stereo system laughing til we cried instead of a fishing 🎣 😅 R I P Mr. CLOWER.
Jerry Clower, Legend.
Love those southern yarns, classic Americana. Nice rug, too.
Preached a great sermon at my church. Had the congregation laughing and crying.
Love Jerry. My grandpa was a Ledbetter
Just an awesome classic to hear!
A True Class Act and Comedian!
I remember listening to Jerry as a little girl. My parents didn't mind, he didn't curse or talk about things a little girl shouldn't hear.
Whooooo!! Haaawwww!! Loved this guy.
Enjoy listening to him and Justin Wilson

My late grandma was a year ahead of him in high school. Said they were all nice people.
Legend
We need comedians like Jerry now. Ain't nothing like good clean comedy.
Love Jerry! Subscribed.
I've been listening to him for 50 years now and I laugh at jokes like this was the first time I heard it.😅 I was happy to have known who he was ❤❤
My Uncle Buck Brown played football with Jerry. Had a photo in his house of them side by side in their uniforms. Jerry Clower was one of a kind. Loved his comedy as a kid and still funny at 60yo.
Now everything’s so filthy, you can’t even watch any of them. Sad. I miss the older times.
We love you mrj Jerry
Wonderful!
Him describing supper makes me hungry!
He does need to be in a Hall of Fame. The man was awesome. Great Jesus Christ man. But yes he needs to being a hall of fame. Thank you for saying that. Whoever did
I wish, oh how I wish I still had his record albums . . . (Lost them in the divorce, of course.) His short recitation to young people at graduation is Absolutely Priceless.
I would listen to WWL out Naw Awlins Charlie Douglas and the Over the Road Gang Show when I hauled horses to the race tracks . Charlie would play Jerry Clower frequently.
Love ole Jerry🤙
I played a gig with The Smokey Paul (Hank WIlliams' guitar player) Band on the FL panhandle with Jerry. We did a set, Jerry did one, we did one, he did another etc. The last joke he told in his first set was "Knock Him Out, John" and it took me 3 songs to get my act together and play my piano. RIP Jerry, you throwed a cravin' on me.
There will never be a good comedy show like this ever again.
😂we love u jerry and miss you
I was gettin ready to take daddy to see Jerry in Raleigh, N.C. But Mr. Jerry passed away 2 weeks before that. I woulda loved to see him in person. Now I miss him and daddy. RIP to 2 good men.
Clean wholesome, stack of 8tracks.
one of a kind
Still to this day I quote the boiled okra and socks ..
That is true comedy
Man, I have never seen this big hunk of man before. But he sure leaves an impression, here in 2024.
Excellent
LOL The best Jerry !
First time I heard him my daddy had a cassette tape of him
You can not replace the comedy of yesterday. Others have tried, but failed
Awesome
Of course Jerry didn't know it but I listen to him so much as a kid I felt just like we was kin. He sure was a fine feller
This is good comedy
I ran into Jerry waiting for an elevator at the Marriot Hotel in Nashville, he was quit rude because it was slow. He wore a star of David with a cross in it. I thought about asking him why he wore it ...
Was fried Oakra but my brother and I got in a fight over the last bit at grandma's house in Alabama.
Classy guy 😂😂
We also watched Jerry on Louisiana Hayride and Jimmy Dean. Didn't get no better. 'n Minnie Pearl... She was fine, for sure.
That’s funny lol
Never be another one
It’s amazing what southerners find funny.

Yes it is! Clean comedy of the past from a Christian man like Jerry Clower was very entertaining and amusing to a very large group of people of all ages. But what we bunch of hillbillies don’t find funny is “meditation music”!!!
Ya gotta love Jerry!
Great Unca Jerry!
❤❤❤❤
A legend! I miss humor like this so much!
