    This big guy Choi is starting to grow on me. Sure he still has alot of work to do, but people shouldnt not compare him at all to fighters like Sapp and Akebono. This big guy has pretty good endurance and doesnt move too bad for a guy his size. And he seems like a good guy too.

    Hong won that fight under normal cicumstances. He walked away unscathed and always managed to move Lebanner around with headshots while Lebanner walked away from the fight with a bloodied nose. But given Hong's size, I think the judges expected more from him. He needs to be more aggressive if he wants to impress judges, considering his size.

    If he becomes more agressive he will do more than empressing the judges... He will impress the nearby clinics and morgue keepers 😂😂😂😂. Man if he was agressive he will kill people... Imagine him 10 times Tyson with this huge skull. I prefer being hit by a bus rather than a fight with him.

    Pretty good fight I thought. I can understand how some people will disagree with the decision because Choi's punches moved Jerome around a lot and seemed to do damage whereas Jerome's strikes did not seem to hurt Choi at all. However, Jerome did land a lot of strikes and that is what scores points. In particular he landed a lot of leg kicks that you have to award points for even if they appairently had no effect whatsoever.

    Besides having a size advantage, Hong lacks skill and speed. I would love to see him fight in PRIDE or UFC and get owned by Fedor or cro-cop

    Hong Man should work on his kicks, it'd be like having a tree fall on top of you. Except standing up... Plus he wouldn't even have to really kick upwards. If Hong Man had speed, he would be crazy.

    Choi is not only tall, but he's extremely strong as well and atheletic for his weight and height. In K-1 being tall is a huge advantage (cfr Semmy Schilt). Some people think Choi won, but I think this has more to do with the poor quality of the video. Le Banner evaded most strikes from Choi; Choi fi threw three deadly knee, but Jerome moved out of the way and they missed the target. He had it after 3 rounds, the extra round was much closer, he might have won that one based on his kicks alone.

    If Choi would fight in the UFC, he would be a hit, like hit repeatedly once someone took him to the ground, then eat a few good elbows. Height is deceptive. But don't think that I wouldn't freak out in a ring. He's big.But in the UFC, taking someone down and the whole submission thing would get him beat.

    it's very difficult to fight a guy of this size...and if you never have the opportunity to train with such huge guys, than you have no experience...relatively boring fight. Hong man should do more, but he will get better...le Banner is getting slow and has not that hunger any more, but still a fighter with a big heart...

    When facing a taller opponent you only have 2 options, throw some kicks or get closer. The latest is very unsafe in K1 because in order to get closer you have to avoid many dangers. The kicks will hardly make you win by KO (it can though) and in a street fight you better get close, armed with your balls and the help of God if to finish the enemy quickly.

    @MegaBlazing wtf...hong man is 7'4" or something close...jerome is 6'4",thats as tall as kobe.and he has lost to fighters as tall as 5'9",well the point is that both of them are big dudes.

  • @NoUsez0r
    @NoUsez0r16 жыл бұрын

    Ummm sure, but everyones height is what makes them who they are. If he was born 6"2 he would be able to develop betters skills, as his agility and speed would be dramatically increased. He's slow because he's so big, but his height makes up for it.

    South Korean, Hong Man Choi got the last round (the extra round), or at least draw in my opinion. I guess Choi had to show a little more aggressiveness. BTW, Jerome Le Banner 6'3 (190 cm) 267 (121 kg), Hong Man Choi 7'2 (218 cm), 355 (161 kg) at this time.

    Choi hong does a little mai thai(i'm trying to give him a style here) with the hand over head knee to face strikes. His technique is lacking but o well, no ones really fights a man his size anyway so thats about 70% of his fights instant win.

    I've only watched the second part, but from the look of it I thought Choi won. Choi landed more punches and push Banner back to the ropes a few times and Choi was in control in my opinion. Don't understand why Choi didn't win. Confusing?
