Jermaine Jackson: Tale of Two Brothers | Full Length Documentary (4K 2160p) | the detail.

Ойын-сауық

Jermaine will forever be remembered as a lead singer of the Jackson 5 with his brother, Michael. The two were close growing up on stage together, however friendly competition developed into a fierce rivalry as the brothers developed their own solo careers.
Constant comparisons, battles for control and deep resentments persisted for many years as Jermaine became increasingly bitter of the King of Pop's towering success, and his reliance on his association with him.
However, one thing that Jermaine Jackson has always preached is that family is the more important than any award, accolade or platinum selling record, and since the superstar's death he has taken it upon himself to honour his brother's legacy for generations of Jacksons to come.

What timeframe was that? Because it was short lived. Because Teddy and Peabo were getting the ladies in the 20's and up. Bobby Debarge in the late 70's and the other members of the group Switch. Michael rude 80's and Prince held it down. So, I am still wondering the timeframe. My guess when he did the remake of "Daddy's Home".......short lived like I said. 😂

Same. Michael was trying to remove himself from narcissist. A lot of his shade, like the whole Babyface thing, was probably Michael finally standing up for himself. A lot of his health issues were a result of Michael putting his family before himself. Think about it. He would have gotten that Pepsi burn if he wasn't helping them out, and Lupus/vitiligo is often triggered by a traumatic event. He sacrificed a Thriler tour for those guys - Jermaine specifically who had several kids from affairs and such. Michael was sick of supporting their lifestyle

It bothered Jermaine that he really wanted the spotlight and worked to have it. Michael became part of the group after Katherine urged Joe to let him be a part of the group. Michael just wanted to be around his brothers, but everything came so natural to him. They worked hard to become stars, but Michael had that "it" factor that made him a superstar.

Thank you, OP for putting that on the table. Jermaine was looking out for Jermaine when he married the boss's daughter. I bet Joe Jackson didn't like that too much, It kind of divided Jermaine's loyalties. We all know that Joe Jackson was a tough guy to work for. Jermaine went to work for his father-in-law. Were the other Jacksons supposed to be exclusive to Barry Gordy just because Jermaine married Gordy's daughter? Jermaine left the group, don't try to blame it on the other Jacksons when they had to move on... They didn't have a rich father-in-law, they still had to work. Jermaine tied his wagon to Barry Gordy. Plus Michael had to double down and be twice as good without Jermaine there to hold that harmony even more. Michael already had too much pressure on him. But MJ loved his family, each and every one of them. Rest in Peace, Michael. 🕊️ This looks like some more of that rewriting of history now that someone has passed away. It's like getting the last word in, because the other person isn't here too defend their position or perspective. Michael carried the family. I do believe Jermaine and Michael loved each other very much. It's sad that business can get in the way of family. Michael's a good soul, far from an evil narcissist. MJ love his Mother and it made his Mother happy for him too look out for his brothers, he did the best he could. He is only one man. Question is, who put this piece out, Joe Jackson or Jermaine? It's not a terrible piece but it's a little disrespectful. If you can't say it while the person is alive don't say it after they're gone.

In the early years of the Jackson Five success thing’s were more difficult for Michael because of him being so sensitive. When the band toured, especially to England, Joe Jackson would be unfaithful to Mrs Jackson and it bothered Michael. His older brothers would snag ladies and bring the girls into their hotel room even though they shared their rooms with Michael. He’d be trying to sleep and next to him would be a brother bedding a fan girl. Joe grew an Afro and wore clothes similar to his son’s. All of this was a bit much to Michael. After Michael went Solo the remaining brother’s Drank canal water financially . Their was tension among the brothers with Michael as they felt they helped him launch his career then they were dumped.

I loved Jermaine! He was a sweetheart! I worked at Motown twice, once when I was 20 and then, again, in my 30's. I have so many stories. However, the little story I love has nothing to do with Motown. I was walking along Rodeo Dr. in Beverly Hills when I saw a little commotion across the street ahead of me. As I got closer, I recognized Jermaine! He was surrounded! He and I were the only chocolate and caramel and he made all over me without flirting. It was the sweetest thing! He had the most beautiful, brilliant smile, and his disposition seemed to match it! We did a quick hug, like a dance move, and I didn't miss a step continuing forward! We laughed and enjoyed the moment! No airs, none of that, just the cutest, sweetest young man enjoying a moment! I felt gorgeous!☺

However, it was like selling pieces of the Jackson's. I admire the work but not its intentions. I feel like Jermain was low-key profiting off of Micheals death.
