It's really not difficult to understand why the Jacksons would feel a way about Joh'Vonnie. She had the father they always wanted. Anyone expecting them to embrace her like the sister they never had is being unrealistic. Joseph created a deeply uncomfortable situation. If you read Latoya's book, she talks about how he had no regard for how any of his older children would feel when he learned his mistress was pregnant. He basically told them they had a baby sister on the way (not Katherine's though!) like it was the most natural thing in the world. He didn't care about Katherine or his kids' feelings. It's understandable why they would resent him and anyone attached to the situation. Can you imagine knowing your abusive father is cheating on your sweet mother for YEARS and having to act like everything was fine. THEN he eventually starts a secret family and gives that child all the love and care he couldn't find for you? They couldn't even call him "Dad", couldn't get a hug, or an "I love you" but the new baby did? I don't blame them for feeling loyalty to Katherine or for feeling uncomfortable with Joh'vonnie for the rest of their lives. I think they did the best they could with what they were comfortable with by inviting her to functions later on. But did you notice that only Katherine and Rebbie were close to her? Likely due to their religious beliefs more than anything. No, Joh'vonnie didn't deserve to be hurt but she has to understand the dad she knew was not the father they did. The whole situation is sad

It's weird to me that she keeps insinuating that she could've had a huge impact on Michael's life if she had only been a part of it. I don't buy that for a second. The people he was closest to all his life couldn't save him. I don't believe she would've had the kind of impact she thinks she would have. Also how odd is it that she seems to have the most issues with Janet and Michael (the most famous Jacksons). Could be because she had a largely parasocial relationship with them before meeting them and they didn't meet her expectations, but it's hard not to feel she wanted some proximity to fame

True, the Dad Johvonnie knew and grew up with was not the father the Jackson siblings knew and grew up with. Although she never asked to be born, she reaped all the benefits from Joe and that famous Jackson name.Sounds as if she thought her siblings would just embrace her automatically and became sour when it didn't happen. Her siblings being cordial to her is maybe all they could do.The Jackson siblings were loyal to their mother and hurt by Joe's betrayal and his defiance. That left a deep wound with them.I remember an interview where Janet choked up after describing an memory of her asking her father if she could call him Dad,with his immediate reply to Janet was- No,I'm Joe to you. Indeed it is a sad situation for all sides, but her talking badly about her famous siblings will not help her.

Joseph did much harm to his family. There should be no blame or judgment on the Jackson siblings' behavior in this case. They certainly never accepted their father's affairs, remembering how they were treated by him. Joh'Vonnie found herself in this situation through no fault of her own, but she shouldn't have imposed herself and demanded an outburst of brotherly love. Joe put all his children in a dire situation. Very sad.

As a grown woman she should understand that she is a permanent reminder of Joe's betrayal of their mother. They had to watch Katherine suffer(and be alone) while Joe was juggling two women, and probably spending a great of his time with Joh'Vonnie and her mother. A situation like that would create hurt feelings across the board, and an awkwardness in their interactions with their father's " love child."

The siblings especially Michael were under no obligation to her, I know its not her fault, but she was a product of an affair and was raised completely separately from them for years so she shouldn't automatically expect all of them to form a relationship with her. And then for her to claim that Michael was "making up stories about their father to gain sympathy" only adds to her ignorance. It comes down to the fact that Joseph didn't raise her with extremely strict discipline like he did the rest of her siblings. Explains why they feel resentment. Also its pretty petty on her part to feel jealous that Michael gave more attention to her daughter than he did her. And that's not even going into her ego that "she could've saved Michael" if she was in his life more. She just comes off very entitled. No wonder she wasn't invited to his memorial.

It wasn't up to the Jackson children to make right the wrongs of Joe Jackson. Michael was the main financial institution of that family ever since his childhood, supporting everyone's lifestyle for many year's. Janet grew up and developed a successful career for herself, however Michael was the main supporting factor for everyone else for decade's and until his death. I can totally see why he in particular, would have certain feelings about Joe having and financially supporting a secret family off of his back.

I don't blame him for getting so angry and didn't want any relationship.

She got the father she always wanted and the loving and caring sign of Joe while Michael and his siblings didn't get that because they were abused and worked to death bc they were the jackson 5 or the Jacksons. Janet and Michael didn't really know their half sibling so they were cold and distant while the other siblings tried to be friendly but something always stopped them from going forward. After growing up she should’ve understood and confronted her mother and father! She had an attitude about her that wasn’t nice at all. “I refuse to be ashamed…” all that. She was also disrespectful saying “Michael made up stories about what he went through with his father,” “I went through just as blue of a childhood.” Really?? That just showed she never acknowledged THEIR pain. That probably didn’t make it any easier for her. She could never even begin to grasp the pain that Michael had from his dad. And I wonder if the only reason she cared so much was because they were famous. That seemed to be the reason for the obsession it seemed.

It is very sad that Joh'vonnie never knew Michael and it is not necessary to know him in person to know that He is a Lovely man, Humble and Honest. This situation all around is sad. As Joh'Vonnie got older. she should have understood that her siblings'problem with her was not personal, Her approach was a bit naive from the start. She has to remember that all along Michael and his brothers knew Joe would go off and have his affairs while they were on tour. Joh'Vonnie could have easily tried to mend those relationships between her siblings and Joseph. I think they would had appreciated her for that and saw that she actually cared about sharing the same type of relationship with Joe, but instead she flaunted around how well she was treated and was even able to call him "Daddy"; knowing that her other siblings never had that bond with him. Besides her mother isn't any better, why put your child through this and not try to make things right? It's just sad.

Ohhhh, he's bringing up Joh'Vonnie. Oh man. I didn't think we would be going here after the breakdowns of Janet, LaToya, & Jermaine but here we are. It's Joe's fault how this tension got started in the family. Especially as Joh'Vonnie got to call Joe "Daddy". It seems like Joe's used emotional distance to create professional success in his children. The one he allowed to call him "Daddy" ended up living a regular life out of showbiz. Luckily eldest sister Rebbie didn't hold it against the girl & even Katherine took her in when she definitely didn't have to. At least she got to go to Neverland. It's a damn shame how things happened.

@Pretty_Mess In that 2006 interview with Wendy Williams, Miki did NOT mention Augie Johnson by name, but she did appear to make reference to him. What I find most interesting about her apparent reference to him is her alluding to dealing with him from the age of 16 to 25. With doing a little math, since Miki is 63 years old currently, that would mean she began dealing with Augie Johnson around 1977. To me, something doesn't seem to add up in this equation. Brandon Howard was born in 1981. Consequently, around the same time Michael Jackson composed his huge hit single "Billie Jean". The story has always been that Brandon was conceived from a casual hook-up between Michael & Miki; there was NEVER any suggestion they were in an actual relationship. If Miki, as she states during that 2006 Wendy Williams interview, was indeed in a relationship with Augie Johnson at the time, it is NOT unusual for a woman to claim the father of the child to be the one she actually is in a relationship with. Hey, I don't know who Brandon's biological dad is, but the rumors about MJ being the biological dad has teeth imo. Why can't Miki Howard answer simple questions such as "did you ever meet Michael Jackson"? This is a relevant question because Augie Johnson stated she never even met Michael Jackson at that time.

It’s rumored that her mother initially wanted Jackie but was turned away & settled for joe instead (the day they met he asked her what her favorite candy bar was & so he sent her an arrangement of her favorite candy bar to her job the next day).

Joh’Vonnie is the physical manifestation of the Ms. Katherine’s hurt and pain, her long time suffering. She will have to accept that this will go one of two ways. The family accepts or rejects her. What Joe did to Ms. Katherine and the children has created a deep wound that has never truly healed just scabbed over and occasionally is broken by his foolishness. It’s sad because Joh’Vonnie didn’t ask to be here, she is a product of Joe’s messiness. It’s not her fault, it’s simply what she represents.

Then she goes to release a book, and gets the spotlight or the "15 Minutes of Fame"..... In my opinion she is pathetic. Jermaine, Marlon, Tito etc. DON'T WON ANY OBLIGATION TO THAT WOMEN. Their father never cared about their mother, so why should they care about hers! I don't mean to be cut throat, but it's upsetting

The reason they don't want a half sibling because not every black family don't want to be a sadistic. The father RIP could keep it in his pants.

My thing about her is how dare she assume that any of them is supposed to care that her mother that for 25 yrs. destroyed their family along with their father, died. That's not their concern. They already didn't want to accept her. Now your mom pass and they supposed to say poor baby. We're here for you😅 Who was there for them? I've heard about her years ago and was disgusted by her actions and trying to force her self on the siblings. She reaped way more than she should have. Through THEIR hardwork, sweat and beatings she definitely benefit. She need to carry on and leave them alone. They owe her NOTHING!!!
