Did anybody notice how Jericho switched up his promo cadence at the end after Kingston told him he wanted the more serious version of Jericho? He really channeled the 2008-2010 version that to me was his best heel persona.

This rivalry that’s been building for weeks has gotten really good.. Can’t wait for Rev it’s gonna be a great ppv

I loved this promo because there's so much relation in here. I like Chris Jericho and what he's doing. But um, I don't know who's writing the promo if it's the wrestlers or some 'secretive creative' but they gotta stop giving too much lines. Less is more. Jericho was on point here. But Eddie gotta stop giving too much lines. He have nothing to improve in his promos, it's just that if Muhammad Ali just trash talked for an hour with all his best lines, it would still get hella unbearable to watch. LESSS ISSS MOREEE.

There are some places you just dont go, some real life related things u just dont bring up, the self awareness just makes it look even worse... if eddie loses then ill never care about him again, he already lost almost the same exact feud to punk. twice in a row would kill the push entirely.

One of the greatest promo I've seen in the latest years. Just as the speech Eddie gave after the passing of Brodie Lee. This guy has the intensity and emotion that any performer or professional from any field should have.

Two different, straight fire promos in a single Dynamite. We are blessed as wrestling fans.

I wouldn't have had an issue with it, but I think there's some art and creativity to making veiled references rather than just blatantly namedropping. Like when Chris said "I saw your match against what's his name," he was referring to Cody. When Eddie said "you want Sports Entertainment, go down the block," he was referring to WWE's Headquarters being nearby, and while some might now know that reference...LOTTA people do. It's a way to respect the intelligence of the fans who are in the know, and give the ones who DON'T know some "lore" and backstory to learn about.

A half decent promo and nothing elase. Now I see why more people aren't watching AEW.

Eddie played this so good. Just mannerisms and laughing everything he did made me believe him of just wanting to beat up Jericho. Then Jericho backing up and basically trembling towards the end as Eddie stepped up really sold Eddie in this. This is how you push talent up the ladder when need. A sports entertainment company down the road could watch this and see how it is done, because they seemed to have forgotten how.

Phenomenal psychological games by Jericho and grit by Eddie, what a segment

Easily one of Jericho's best promos in a while and I'm really looking forward to this match because if Eddie wins at Revolution, then he finally has a major win under his belt and hopefully that can help him eventually rise to the top of the company at some point in the future.

Chris Jericho is looking so great right now. A few years ago, I'd commented on a post of his and said he needed more definition, and the dude is old for an athlete but he came through like a monster. He looks absolutely phenomenal

Both man are throwing dirt at each other and they are pulling the strings of what people are saying. Both are truly master of the mouth. But definitely, Jericho said some harsh stuff. Kingston is better at connecting to the fan but that isn’t going to get him to the top of the business. Which is sad because that just enforced what Jericho said about Kingston being a really respected Jobber.

@@mrdude88 Kingston is better right now at connecting to the fans because hes a baby face and Jericho is kind of a heel and hes also old and been in the business for so long that people are tired of him regardless of how good he is so that's the only reason Kingston is connecting with the fans right now.

And this was the reason I got internet at the house. This promo was great, actually. Especially Jericho going the Cerebral Heel, and Eddie Kingston going Dude On The Street.

Ever since Eddie walked in and did that cutting promo on Cody, he's been killing it at AEW. The man is a real deal gangsta. And Jericho is the perfect dance partner as always.

Gotta love Eddie. One of the most REAL dudes out there. Could listen to him talk on the stick all night. The tension between these two is palpable. This match will be fantastic 😎

I don’t care what anyone says about Jericho. He’s a living legend and you can tell he loves the wrestling business. As long as he’s around I’m cheering him on.

Jericho’s biggest problem is he can’t play baby face. He has to many heel tendencies and he can’t get over as much. - I did not watch his WCW run tho let me be honest I have no idea how this went. So I may be ignorant- but I have seen highlights and I believe he was a really good heel during his cruiser weight run.

I love Eddie's promo work! He's just so authentic.

Jericho is so freaking good. What a promo!

This guy is so good, he's got wrestling fans screaming "Eddie!! Eddie!! Eddie!!" and it's NOT a (deserved) nostalgia pop for Latino Heat. That's an insane level of charisma, talent, whatever you wanna call it; the Mad King has IT.

This is the first time I have seen/heard Eddie Kingston and I am very impressed.

This company ironically is sports entertainment. More so than the other company. Consistently giving great promos. Probably the best sports entertainment company in the game right now. And probably more so than what we had in years.

Shout out to Jericho for getting back in great shape.

I respect the fact that Jericho mentioned Mox's name first coz that's who he had the most history with in AEW 👌🏼small detail but yeah

When I heard these two might be fighting, I knew the promos would be great

I never heard of Eddie Kingston before AEW either, and im happy I have now. love that guy

the 1st security guard on the left was feeling the promo smirking and looking at eddie and chris xD the other ones were just like ''ok just keep looking straight''

One nice thing about this co is they work hard to promote and help each other up onto the platform. Despite what they all say live you can just see how much they all help each other each night. Great to see and adds in an extra layer of mutual care and respect for each of them

This promo was STRAIGHT FIRE

This segment really reminded me of that “sports entertainment” feud with dolph ziggler and Chris Jericho years back building up to summer slam, Dolph called Chris out saying he can’t win the big one now it’s the other way around 💯

My friend and I were at this show and boy, Eddie had the fans in his hands the entire segment. Someone near us went to say something but was shushed by others. A great promo from both.

Seriously. I thought I couldn't love Eddie Kingston more but he always proves me wrong. The dude is talented.
