It´s the "etc" that are the issue besides it would be very difficult to have cars passing each other on a two way street ETC etc etc

Electromagnet system.... So the magnet isn't always engaged. And sensors that will turn it on automatically. Maybe that'd work?

This is how engineers think & build BUT...Everything else around it is flawed. Some engineers never drove a car or changed the oil. Now, we can't even change our cars oil because the drain plug is blocked. Or the battery needs a wheel, & fender removed to get to the battery to change it.
