I have been to Iceland twice in 3 years, and cannot wait to go back! The sights, experiences, the people are the friendliest! Hard to believe its only an 8 hour flight from Southern California! You have over 20 hours of daylight in May, but no Northern lights. September was ideal for me. Still had long days, sun up around 5:30AM and dark around 10:30PM.

You don't have northern light in may, for the same reason you don't see stars at daytime.

There are times I would like to just pack up everything I own, sell it off, grab a back pack and visit the globe. Then reality sets in and I am back to enjoying having a home of my own. :)
