That truck is totally something my grandfather would have built. He bought a Ford F250 new in 1967 and made all kinds of modifications to it, all completely home-grown. Two of note were the water injection system for the carb (similar to WWII aircraft) and and a 'supplemental' cooling system for the radiator, which consisted of a 5 gallion (~20L) water bucket in the truck bed that fed a sprinkler head mounted to hit the center of the radiator at 50mph. It kept engine/trans temps down pulling the 20 foot travel trailer up the mountain passes and forest service roads of Idaho and Montana.

To get rid of alcohol in fuel, add water. I use those translucent jerry cans with tap/spout. You bung in 200mls/litre shake well, leave 24hrs, the water will pull the alcohol out of the fuel, leaving alcohol free petrol floating on top , you will see 2 layers form when it settles overnight. I do this for my classic motorbikes

Well done Gentlemen. Excellent call on the oil pressure relief valve. Fell foul of that myself once. I noticed a little weep after on the hose fitting but you've probably already seen that yourselves. Those filter housings can tend to leak if the seal is not good. We use them on the flathead Ford V8s. I made some seals myself using nitrile sheet and a knife blade on a lathe. Great stuff guys, I recently discovered your channel and am enjoying the content.
