@@londihmklondihmk9976 I think she is underrated in terms of her singing career and what a talent like hers could've accomplished in another moment in time. Seriously, she has one of the most powerful vocal instruments in pop culture currently, and yet she has never had a huge radio hit. Not even one. Imagine if she had been a new artist in the eighties or nineties; I bet she could have easily been one of the biggest-selling vocal powerhouses of those decades right alongside Celine, Whitney, Toni, and Mariah.

Everytime I watch this it feels like I'm watching it for the first time. What a talented beautiful soul.
Years ago when I was watching her on American idol and heard her sing in the auditions and throughout the competition, I was telling all my buddies that she has something special. They did not agree, and I think she finished like 4th or 6th in the competition. But then she got the role in the movie Dreamgirls and after her own singing career, And the rest is history.
This performance for me is in a league of its own. It gives me chills down my spine every time. Spooky or not, my spirit sings it more often than not. This right here is what we call "spiritual".
Amen. I know the feeling, God be with you.
This song never fails to make me cry, but I was in tears by "I got my house," which has never happened. This is a rendition that could never be on Broadway. It was meant for this moment and for Jennifer Hudson and that AMAZING choir
Sings great and looks beautiful. Her tragedy of her family being murdered after she had such success made me feel incredible empathy & pain for her. We all need our mothers & siblings and I think her insane brother in law killed even his own son. Makes me cry for her.
Love JHud. Beautiful, powerful voice. I also loved how Stedman knows his woman so well... he reached for his ladies hands just as he knew she needed him. That's love.
Gets me every time I watch this performance, who’s here in August 2021?
The fact that she was hoarse on this performance and still delivered‼️‼️
