Flip the oven's electrical breaker at the breaker box....mine reset itself and now the display fully functions....the bake area stopped working.....now it works. This cost me nothing but a walk downstairs to the breaker box and resulted in a working Jennaire and a very happy wife.

Thanks for the video! I followed your directions, installed a new infinite switch and saved about $500.

I think you just solved my problem... My Jenn-Air JES9860AAB is giving me an F1-8 error code, so I've been trying to remove the control panel to take a look, with no success. I see from your video that there are two screws on each side of the panel. I only saw one on each side when I was trying to remove mine, but now I think I can feel another at the top, just behind the "bump". I'll have to pull my range out from the wall a bit to know for sure, which will have to wait until I get back from a little road trip. But in the meantime, what's the model number on the range in your video? It looks very similar to mine, and the part number for the switch you replaced matches what's shown for mine. Great video, very professional, detailed, thorough, calm, no distractions, I love it!

Hi Diana. Unfortunately we don't currently have a video that will help you replace your electric burner coil. However, if you send us your cooktop's model number we might be able to help you troubleshoot the problem!

I've been trying to replace that exact part (this will be the third one I've replaced) but they apparently no longer make it. I was sent what Jenn Air recommends as a substitute but it has six connection posts rather than the five on the 7403P402-60. I did install it with 3 wires to the top and two to the opposing side (similar to the 7403P402-60)and it does allow the burner to get hot. However the red "on" light remains on constantly even when the burner is off. Any suggestions?

Please folks take a picture of the wires or write down what lead they go to. Years ago my dad almost electrocuted my mom by screwing this up.
