23:06 - I would make a template here and rotate it slightly one direction or the other to avoid drilling too close to the original rivet holes. Also, depending on how close the dimensions of the ebay module were to your stove, I would concentrate on the connector mounting bracket fabrication. That would give me a pan that is not already deteriorated away. This is one of the benefits of watching someone else struggle with a project is that you can come up with ideas of your own to make the repair. Thanks for posting.

My first and obvious problem is that this things is that it's very inefficient. Glass is a horrible conductor of heat so right away you're behind the 'heating' 8 ball. Induction is absolutely astounding when using cast iron though!

You can use a pumice atone on the glass? Perferble from a mexican store. Not sure if it scratches glass, but it wont scratch metal. At least hasnt mine. They are hard to find depending were you live, and they are black

Thanks for the video it was very helpful. Just as a question. Couldn't you have just moved the plug in the old range over to the newer range rather than going through all of that?

It's been a while since I did this repair, but if i recall correctly, i think the metal pan was a little thicker on the new one.

What if it's not the cartridge and it appears to be the dial or knob? I switched the sides of the cartridges and they both don't work.

Sounds like you've isolated the issue to be in the stove circuitry, and not the cartridge. From this point, the best move is to proceed with a sound troubleshooting approach. This is where a skilled technician with a meter comes in. The voltages present are dangerous! The circuit is pretty basic, only if you have the skill. Sorry i cannot be of more assistance but at least you didnt buy a new cartridge.

@@stevewatr got it. Thanks. I've got the power turned off to the range. Going to take it apart and see if it's a loose wire. If not I'll call a technician. Thanks for the speedy reply.
