Interesting tour of this Jelutong market. It's my first time experiencing this virtual tour. I have been away from Penang for so long that I totally miss everything about Penang. Thanks Tim for this tour.

Look out for more of these virtual walking tours. I want to show people Penang upclose, and get interesting details as we explore and discover.

I am so glad that having seen the Jelutong Market, you would be keen to go there and explore it! Best days to go are Saturday and Sunday mornings. That's when you will find the highest number of stalls. There are many non-permanent stalls which sell almost anything imaginable -- you will keep on finding stalls you've never seen before, and in the following week, it's gone, replaced by a different stall.

I love the koay chiap at Jelutong market too... and always bring my containers for the coconut drink (the one behind the chicken stall), very worth it and slightly cheaper.

I will be more observant in the future. As a whole, we usually spend between RM50 to RM150 on a single visit to the Jelutong Market.
