Those child statues look so fascinating! Looks like South Korea is sharing some gray days with San Diego. :-)

While I love sunny days, I was grateful for the overcast. Keeps me cool as a stroll around for hours. Thanks for watching! :)

Do you have some kind of data collection form or plan when you go to each of these libraries? Thanks so much for sharing your trip!

I would love your thoughts on this when we meet next month! Right now, I'm focusing on developing research questions and figuring out how viable this research project is given the required travel and language barrier. My Korean is very basic. However, I am learning quite a few things that I will share in a wrap-up video! One being that the largest import of American goods came during and after the Korean war. Mostly food and clothes. However, I do wonder if children's literature was imported as well. While I do not have any proof, I am considering whether the Mennonite missionaries, who came during the war relief effort would have brought children's books or even children's Bibles because they did a lot of work in Korean orphanages and schools during the war. This might be a good place for me to start!

A shoeless library?! Sounds like Asia.
