Annihilators Never Neverland is in my opinion, one of the very best speed metal album's ever recorded, Jeff's guitar work on that record is exemplary.

My favourite Annihilator lineup is The Alice In Hell lineup from 1989 with Randy Rampage Jeff Waters Anthony Greenham/Dave Scott Davis Wayne Darley Ray Hartmann

No question that metal god JAMES HETFIELD could have easily has that title around before but it is quite possible and makes sense that, if this was their big "hit-to-be", then their label would probably not want the title to be the same as another thrash metal record, out a year earlier, that was a big seller.

Never Neverland is a BILLION times better the Enter Sandman will ever be !!!!!

@harvdenai It could fit easily. When the chorus to Enter Sandman was written OFF TO NEVER, NEVERLAND, it was after the release of Annihilator's record. The titleNever,Neverland was out int he press in late Spring 1990 and when Metallica finally wrote the lyrics, they could have changed the title to their song right up until the recording was long finished.

well it was back in 1991 when metallica was recording that LP. its interesting to know that they (the band & Record company) didn't know you can't copy right song Titles. I didn't know that either back then. IF you wanted to record a song & title it enter sand man, you can. & yeah I thought of Annihilators never never land when james said were off to never never land.

Actually, in 'A Year and a Half in the Life of Metallica', part one probably, Hetfield says the title had been around for longer. On the other hand, Hetfield's drinking problem was legendary back then, so who knows?

Before i knew about Annihilator i used to listen Metallica and Megadeth. Now i listen just Annihilator when is about metal. I just don't like other bands as much as Annihilator. Also i like they are underrated.

Never, Neverland is so much better. Hail Jeff.

@anniafan If you look at A Year and A Half in the Life of Metallica, which you probably did, uncle Bob was sure that Sad But True was going to be the killer master song, not Enter Sandman... Although they both were a major success, Enter Sandman is still "bigger" than Sad But True. Anyway, what's my point? I don't know anymore... :p

@@jeffo9396 Nah, just lucid and a realist. Their early to mid sound is great, but there's no technique or skills there, sorry to say. I still like it, but they're quite poor in technical terms, they're just catchy and have a great sense of composition and rhythm.

@@johnyboy1977 That's sort of what I meant. You can be skilled in other ways that don't always involve guitar techniques. Sure, Metallica doesn't have an Eddie Van Halen or Nuno Bettencourt, but they don't need to. They're great at composition and rhythm, as you mentioned; and production too, thanks to Bob Rock.

@@jeffo9396 Yep, agree 100%. They don't. I was just saying that Jeff is put simple one of the greatest metal guitar players ever and barely gets any recognition except from his peers.

Dave Mustaine is the best LEAD guitarist Metallica ever had, I would never put him on rhythm guitar. He's still a lead guitarist with Chris Broderick next to him, they take turns. I think you mean he would play rhythm instead of James and still keep Jeff Waters as lead, hopefully they can take turns too. Jeff Waters is the best though.

how the fuck could never neverland influence enter sandman? enter sandman is commercial and mediocre and far away from amazing metallica albums that preceded it, while Never Neverland is a classic 90's thrash album and the way 90's thrash should be. neverland and black album are totally different.
