This is real music, Jeff is a normal guy and he probably doesn't know how good he really is, never big headed , he's never changed his accent in interviews, no fancy clothes on stage nothing just simple music brilliance, every single person is playing for real always. Plus 5 decades the test of time proves that. Really on a different level. Plus he comes from my part of the world. Top band and wrote songs that will be still played a hundred years from now because they are brilliant. Simple as that........

My daughter is 19 and her biggest regret is missing out on the 70’s music era. No kidding, 80’s too lol. She just says they don’t make music like that anymore. You used to need talent, you had to actually sound good to make it, now they can make anyone sound decent all you need is the look they want.

Jeff Lynne has always been able to blend classical instruments and arrangements with amazing rock arrangements. I think his most incredible ability has been to select and surround himself with amazing musicians. All of his projects, from original ELO, to Traveling Wllburys, to later live performances like this one, have demonstrated his ability to do this.When you can put together an orchestra of this size, and the result is a live recording like this one - that's just incredible! And Jeff Lynne has never craved the limelight. He just makes amazing music. It must be fun to be Jeff! It certainly is fun to listen to his work.

Jeff's a great guy. He never let fame go to his head. A real "down to Earth" person!

My wife and I live in Canada.3 years ago we went to New York.On our first night she went shopping.I went to Madison Square Garden to see Lynne perform for 2 hours plus to a sold out crowd.Afterwards I bought an excellent New York slice.One of the greatest nights.

Jeff Lynne is just a master of musical arrangement. ELO a highly underrated band with a distinctive sound.

Not only still on tour, but Jeff has produced some of the most important artists ever (including Beatles, Dylan, Petty, etc), his music has been in films, is name checked by so many and is also in the Rock HOF. I just saw them in Toronto July 18 2019 ( Best Concert of my life) All the reviews agree they are the best live act in the world and Jeff Lynne is a Music Genius. They are in the Rock Hall of Fame. Lynne is on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame and Birmingham Walk OF Fame. Jeff Lynne’s ELO won the Best Classic Rock Band plus Lynne won the best Song Writer award ( ASCAP ) 2019 for his fantastic contribution over the years. The Legends in the Music Industry call Jeff Lynne the best overall Musician ever and a Producer Extraordinaire. And don't forget, he was in the Super Group of all the Groups the Traveling Wilburys with George Harrison, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison and Bob Dylan... Long live Jeff Lynne’s ELO!

Unsteady on his feet, sure, happens to the best of us…but his voice still sounds fantastic. This is live not lip synced, (it’s easy to tell) and that is wonderful to hear.

Listening to Jeff and ELO helped me out of my deep depression, there is something about Jeff's voice that lifted me up to carry on.

Today's "musicians" could learn a thing or two from the greats like Jeff Lynne! No comparison between ELO and today's music. So glad I grew up when I did with really good music and artists back in the 60's, 70's and 80's.

I could listen to this song and watch the beautiful violinist all day!

As a 15-year-old I had thedouble album listen to it religiously, 45 years later appreciate the arrangements and it never ceases to amaze me the talent of all these muscians

This man, Jeff Lynne, never get old, after 50 years, still the same.

Langley has 2 other sisters who are musically gifted. This piece can easily fit into today's genre. It hasn't aged at all.

A piece of gold from the 70's.....

I cried when I went saw Jeff. I thought I would die without ever seeing him perform. After all it was 30+ years and no sign of a tour. Again I wept like a baby at his concert. And he sounded just like he does on the radio. No phoney computer voice correcting tricks. No bullshit. Just music. It was a spiritual movement for me. God bless Jeff and the sold out night I shared with 20,000 other screaming fans. God bless u Jeff

You just described me as well. I was at this concert in Philly, 1st time I ever saw them, loved it. In my mid 50's now and I truly thought I would never see them live in concert. I saw them 5 times in less than 365 days with this being the first.

I'm 59 going on 16 grew up listening to this real music that took you to imaginative places where everything was blissful ,so with all the crap that's going on today its good to escape for a while and go back to better days

Definitely. My escape as well. I just need one more escape to the UK and my bucket list is complete. Can't travel anywhere, I'm not jumping through impossible hoops, additional money, quarantining, tracking devices. Oh no way in holy hell.

The mid 70's were my high school years.I loved ELO then and I love them now!! I listen to them all the time!

ELO brings back some memories. This violinist is right on time and very good at what she does.

Jeff Lynne has the best voice ever.

Very good point👍 What I can't understand is he hasn't aged along with his music. Class.

I took my daughter to the Arena when Jeff came back home to Birmingham in October 18. We stood 10 feet from him and danced all night. As fellow Brummies it was good to have him home where it all started. I've seen all the lineups live since the 70s and Jeff has kept the magic going. I'm proud to say that ELO have been the soundtrack of my life and when the time comes, I'll probably go out on "one summer dream", why not.

Yep, Did a lot of making out in the car to ELO. The 70s were tacky as hell....but there was a lot of good music. High School rocks!!...when it was 40+ years ago.

The violinist gave me the chills, she is so good!

I am with the people, 68 and tears in my eyes. ( Fantastic )

Don't forget those cellos in the back doing most of the heavy lifting for the strings.

Yes. Let me tell you, my first album was ELO " On the Third Day " well, just the other day a friend asked, what would you do if you won the PowerBall, I said, I would hire Jeff and the exact ensemble who Played at Tampa this past year ( 2019 ) I would just want to sit in the same seat - had to leave early since my wife just had knee surgery and we had to leave early ( she was in pain ) Cello players were on the mark and having fun - notwithstanding, Jeff and the whole band. I've personally been to over 200 concerts ( ELO a couple times ) that show at Tampa was the best I ever have been to. Peace / Solace to all.

@@carvcom1 I am just curious, so watching Jeff during the concert in Glastonbury 2016, and it was raining, how do you thereafter treat your, 500 or even 3 mil instrument, I mean, is there special procedures? Put it directly into those crazy packs of moisture absorbing thingies? I mean, we aren't talking about a $100 cigar that has to be cared for. Do you think the performers are using a cheaper instrument?

I think the cellos were protected by the overhead cover at Glastonbury, along with the other electronic equipment on stage. You do not want a normal wooden cello to get wet at all. I've only played a handfull of outdoor concerts in my career and none of them had any rain. I don.t think they were using lower quality cellos for this ELO performance.
