This rocket is arguably safer than Virgin Galactic. Flying at hypersonic speeds is incredibly dangerous. One wrong move and the aerodynamic loads can break up the entire vehicle, like the fatal virgin galactic test flight. To fly into space you need incredibly precise control and handling. More often than not on a traditional rocket, it cannot be flown by hand. Even the first ICBMs were all flown using computers. At least they have an escape system and a super safe and redundant parachute.
