They experience weightlessness NOT because they are in space, but because they are FALLING. You get the same sensation from skydiving, which I do all the time. Even on the ISS, weightlessness is because you are FALLING, but you have enough lateral speed to keep missing the Earth as you fall. That’s called orbit. Basic physics.

Dude you are so wrong lol! So you say astronauts practice for zero G in underwater are stupid? Yes zero G weightlessness can be little compared to be underwater and true Zero G in space cannot be compared to anything else or can be created on earth! You won’t even have sense of up or down in space so falling sensation you say is just wrong theory of yours. I am very sure you must be getting confused with those *Zero G* gimmick planes where they make you climb and decent fast in earths atmosphere so you basically free falling with the plane in decent and you feel like you are hovering in the plane. You really think that how is space? The sensation of being in space? No. It’s just a visual trick to your brain and not zero G! In space zero G you won’t feel anything and just can be compared little like being underwater just to make sense and even if you try to rotate like clock hand in space you won’t feel but it will seem like everything around you is rotating clockwise and you won’t even feel a thing expect minor centrifugal force. Don’t say falling again

Anybody can say what you just said, but until you start doing your due diligence, researching deeper, the onus is on you. And no, I’m not trying to fight you or be a jerk, and no, I don’t classify myself as a “flat earther. But I’ve seen amazing things over the years that I’ve really surprised me. Without going into it too deeply, don’t you find it interesting that when the Canon P 900 camera was invented, people started taking pictures and videos of distances far greater than the curvature of the earth would allow, but they could still see buildings on land while looking across large bodies of water that should have been below the surface because of the curvature of the earth? Also, my uncle has been a commercial airline pilot for decades, and he told me they never ever account for the curvature of the earth, they never dip the nose down incrementally to make sure that they don’t fly off into space. Why would that be? (by the way, there’s a reason they call it a “plane”.) If you’ve never heard of this, look it up on KZread. 🧡

I know this was a big achievement and all, and I congratulate them for this... but I can't be the only one that just viewed this as a very elaborate and thoroughly calculated game of catch. They threw them in the air and caught them on the ground in roughly the same place. If I'm gonna spend this kind of money on space flight, I'd like to orbit the planet at the very least, one time. Give me an opportunity to see the planet in all it's glory for that price. I personally wouldn't pay more than $5,000 for what they just did as a passenger. My coworker says he wouldn't pay more than the cost of an airline ticket.

Wrong. According to the OSD Apogee was beyond 351k ft or 107km, so clearly beyond the Karman line of 100km and thus in space (per FAI definition). Americans (NASA, US Air Force) define space as higher than 50 miles (=80,46km). So it was clearly in space according to both definitions...
