Given what he's accomplished, having him share his thoughts in such a frank way, is a great historical contribution. It's significant to have him speaking for himself and to not have some future biographer distort who he was, or what he thought.

Accomplished? He's hoarding more wealth that you can even comprehend. Do you know how much a single billion is? You could make $10,000 a day for 10,000 years and still not have as much money. No let that sink in before you start arguing in your mind or worse, justifying it. Capitalism is broken. People are playing this game and exploiting the shit out of it, along with the governments blessing. Don't turn around and blame immigrants for jobs when I'm sure Bezos makes more in an hour than all of the immigrants in America combined. He does not need that money. It is immoral to hoard that much. If the richest 1% donated just 10% of their money-- something they would never notice- they could change the shape of the country and the world. They didn't "earn" all of that money, it's not proportional to their inputs or contributions.

A year ago I worked at UPS during “peak season” (Black Friday-Christmas Eve) my team of workers would get packages from a belt a few would sort them onto four different hand trucks each one designated for a particular delivery truck the packages needed to be loaded on. Three of the hand trucks were the same size but one of them was 2.5 times as big as the others. I realized that we were using the long one for the closest truck to the belt, which was inefficient. So I went to my supervisor and told her that we should use it for the furthest truck instead, as that would save steps. She looked me in my eye and said “that doesn’t matter, it’s the same number of packages going to the same place, you need to work faster.” I bought Amazon stock with my very next paycheck 😂

Really curious about how this interview was organized, you should do a behind the scenes about it. Were you limited in the questions you were allowed to ask? What questions were off the table? I'd love to hear Bezos' stance on the current consumerism epidemic humanity is struggling with, that is largely fueled by large retailers and ecommerce. Does the end (space exploration) justify the means? Or is Bezos actually in favor of producing vast amount of consumer products, a large amount of which goes straight to the trash? Are the benefits worth the waste?

This felt oddly intimate, like we were there with these two. Lex is officially my favorite podcaster. His questions are intelligent, thoughtful, provocative and delivered with humor and humility. Jeff was fascinating to listen to (obviously) but his joy and curiosity was surprising. I do get the power of wondering. I’m incredibly inspired! Thanks to both of these brilliant men!

Dear Amazon employee (who is evaluating these comments for customer service insights), Please convey to Jeff that as users of his inventions, we also derive a large number of benefits from hearing him speak in this format. He had never been so relatable and respectable as he is in our minds now, having heard him relay his invaluable perspectives on business, the entrepreneurial spirit, and human progress. Please encourage him to do this more often.

I don't their that listening to a coward make any sense. He is still on the',we have been the moon'' story - only an idiot engineer could state that nowadays. Don't get yourself betrayed by a smart US asshole - the fact that he is extremely $$ rich, tell us only, that he is part to the tolerated 'Elite Eng.'Idiots' Groupe' , meaning: clever but non-political hence controllable and trivial concerning human rights

As long as he sticks to the rules of Knighs no probs, but he's got a way to go - Yes, we make mistakes a humans & we forgive, but not forever. The US/NASA has never been on the moon and Jeff knows that ........I value him, but he has got for more insight than he tells us, and he's got a responsibility to tell the truth - so let's wait if he shares his knowledge with us , or decides to end up as a public fool, which I would really regret ...... ........Peter Mallm 7/L Good luck Jeff and all the best for 2024 !
