Probably because he gets asked the same questions all the time. I've read his books and seen him live, his books are great, live not so great. The time I saw him he seemed to level his talk as if he's talking to a group of kids although the place was jam packed with adults who had probably read his books. It was a bit of a snooze fest to be honest, the best part was the Q&A where the audience got to ask questions. The bar got raised at that point but unfortunately it didn't last long.

Michio’s ability to flow through a conversation about a variety of different topics seamlessly and thoroughly is staggering. He makes it seem like he knows literally everything and every question he answers he has already thought out and outlined and rehearsed. Which, in a way he probably has.

Michio Kaku has a reputation in the scientific community for mostly talking about stuff that people want to hear (→ Multiverse) to sell his books and himself as a talk show guest. They're not smart enough to realize that no one owns the information & that advancing the field is what matters, i.e. it's a *fantastic* thing to have students ask you questions you can't answer, for students to achieve more than you could ❤️❤️❤️ It's all about the big picture, not one puny little human who appears to have authority in a classroom

@@cloudridermrbliss7085 I didn't say anything about hierarchy. They most definitely see us as the alpha but that has absolutely nothing to do with the point I was making. A quick Google search for “does my dog think I’m a dog?” says "no and that’s primarily because of how we smell. Dogs have the same senses as humans, but their sense of smell is much better; humans have about six million olfactory receptors in the nose (the receptors that allow you to smell) while dogs have up to 300 million-making their sense of smell anywhere between 10,000 and 100,000 times better than an average human. Dogs also have a second olfactory system, called the Jacobsen’s organ, that allows them to process much more information through smell than humans can-including what species they’re interacting with. You know your dog's habit of sniffing other canine’s backsides? That’s not just a “dog’s way of saying hello.” What they’re actually doing is sniffing out information. There is a ton of information your dog can get just from another dog’s scent, including the dog’s age, gender, health, sexual readiness, and-you guessed it-whether or not they’re actually a dog. Your dog can tell instantly whether they’re interacting with another dog or a human by scent alone-so when your dog gets a whiff of you, they know they’re dealing with a human." So the next time you try to pretend to be smart... maybe do a quick Google search, dummy. 👍

I remember when I was like 10 years old I was watching content from this guest. I didn’t understand it then and barely more today but love all of it. Great episode.

He's too scared to try Mushrooms or DMT. I'd love Michio Kaku to do a Scientific DMT study. Connect him to an IV drip and send him off into the Cosmos for an hour discussing string theory with Machine Elf's

That's seriously the perfect way to describe him. He has this showman like persona and it's simply that he has been giving these takes all the time, ergo, the walking monologue.
