I'm 75. I saw all of these musicians perform as a teenager & early twenties. Every death makes me ponder my own mortality. It seems that every few weeks we lose another( Turner, Lightfoot, Tim Bachman, Keith Reid, Jim Gordon and Jeff Beck, etc). Within the next 10-20 years they will all be gone. Musicians who played musical instruments, wrote the songs they sang with no auto-tune no drum machine, no fake or "sampling." Treasure these musical giants before there passing.

I was fortunate enough to see both of these guys in the gig that they're talking about which was at the Catacombs Club in Houston Texas in 1968. They came in and played on a Friday and a Saturday and I saw him both nights. Jeff said that Rod was having trouble singing because they had just flown in from London in the temperature humidity or something was messed up his voice so he could only sing like one song every four songs or so and Ronnie was playing bass. Of course at that time I was really there to see Jeff. He played out of a Marshall full stack with his Black Les Paul and when he hit a note you would just like vibrate. I was about 10ft in front of him, it was a small Club but they Rocked and it was very cool to see him. Rod would sit down behind Jeff's amp in between the time he could sing and not sing. It was their first gig in the United States just like Rod and Ronnie said in this video so that's pretty cool. :-)

I saw him once back in late 60's - early 70's what a show that was at Massy Hall. Unbelievable just remarkable, I still can't believe I was there and I'm still here to tell about it. It's incredible still, I still can't believe it now or then. It's just amazing still to this day.
this is so wonderful, a great tribute for jeff beck, he was an amazing guitarist.

This event went way beyond my expectations🎉 It's awesome!
