One of my favorite setups I devised for my rigs, is to make my offroad lights be dependent on the hi beam switch, and enabled by another switch. My foreward lights I enable with dash switch, but they only come on with hi-beams. Reverse flood comes on when in reverse +hibeam

I installed the same unit in my TJ about a year ago, and am very pleased with it. I integrated a negative bus, and wiring any accessary is super easy!. You are doing a GREAT job, in your how-to videos, of explaining, and simplifying installations.

Ive had my sPod for over 4 years now, and I absolutely love it. Wiring is super easy, and its a clean install inside the cabin. I tell everybody that they need a setup like this if they want to run accessories.

Hi, my friend, nice video. Do you know if this panel is waterproof? I want to install a motorcycle. Do you think it is possible? I have a set of lights rigid (ref ignite) and they have a low and high position, it would be possible to use them with this panel? Thanks

Nice video. If the power wires are being fed into the switch box, how do you ground each separate pair of lights or devices? Do you have to ground each one to the vehicle?

great video just purchased and getting ready to install. I see you had front/rear locker on your switch panel. have you hooked them up and if so are they ARB? trying to determine which wires from ARB harness I need to plug into box positive wire? mine has deducted rocker switches which have a yellow for rear and green for front. wondering if I also need to red(power) from the ARB harness also spliced with yellow & green into the box positive wires?

Hi, I just got the same device from Amazon to add flashers with 13 different patterns, a traffic advisor with 13 patterns, and undercarriage lights to my Toyota Highlander. After seeing your video with so much information, which I consider excellent, I feel I can install this unit with the accessories mentioned, the only issue I have, and hopefully,, you can help me with, is that the flashers come with a power button and a separate one for the different patterns, how do I connect that to the box? The trip advisor comes with a remote control and a cigarette lighter plug, I am planning on cutting the plug, and hopefully, there will be a positive and ground wire which will connect to the box, hope to hear from you soon and keep up your excellent work!

Hi there, I’m just trying to understand are you trying to replace the relay that is in the box for a flasher relay that has 13 patterns? I’ve seen Bluetooth one are pretty cool. Or are you trying to use this relay box to initiate control over a 13 pattern flasher? I assume it’s possible to work both ways but I would need to know. I can easily see this relay box supplying a power source to a 13 pattern flasher that has its own power button and button for each pattern! Just ground the flasher to closest chassis ground and crimp the main power wire from the flasher to a choosen output wire on the box! I’d definitely start by installing the spod first than any accessories last! Thanks for watching 🍻

@@ATEMOFFROAD Thanks very much for your prompt reply, I am trying to install the sPOD, not replacing any relays, and use it to install the flashers with the 13 patterns, I just don't know what to do with the 2 buttons that come with the flashers. As you mentioned in your reply, I will ground the flashers, but by using a negative buss( will that work?), as I will with the other accessories, and use the power lead of the flashers to one of the leads provided by the sPOD. It's a brand new Highlander, just want to make sure I will do it right not to damage anything and loose the warranty on it. Again, thanks beforehand for your next reply and really appreciate your help and expertise.

but don't you have to use 2 wires when plugging them in to the relay box? you only used a black wire for the light bar. can you explain why you only used one instead of 2? or am i misunderstanding something. (i don't know much about electrical when it comes to cars, that's why i have so many questions. i actually have the same 6 gang panel). great work on making this video. thanks for everything

The ground for all the relays is the black wire that comes out of the box, the relays only provide a +12Vdc source so every load or light if you will, needs one +12Vdc wire from the box to the load/light. For the second wire or ground wire you want to find the closest spot on the chassis nearby where the load/light is mounted. So if it’s a light bar on the front bumper you can land the ground wire off the mounting bracket bolt for the ground, this way you don’t need to go all the way to the battery. Just make sure you sand off the paint where the connection goes is made that way it’s a good connection to chassis ground.

@@ATEMOFFROAD ok, i think i get it.. more questions. why does a relay have different wires? how can i know what gauge wire to use for leds lights? and i don't really get why you used a fuse adapter to get 2 fuses in the fuse box in the cabin.. can you also explain that? thanks in advanced! i love to make stuff myself. but at times i dont have the knowledge. that 's why i like asking lots of questions to make sure i understand it good
