They could, but their stupid drive train protection electronics severely hamper what they're capable of. In sand and snow when the tires start to lose traction the system cuts power and fu**s you right in the face. We've been stuck in situations where most 2wd cars could have plowed onward. If it's on a grippy surface it's fairly capable within reasonable expectations, but once the tires lose grip, you're screwed. (2016 th teraflex lift, eibach springs, and 28" tires)

The trailhawk package is really good.. if that's what you have, drop it in 4-wheel low, lock in the Lockers in the rear and go jeep!!! 🤘😎 They are really capable, to be small.. so is the Cherokee trailhawk.. Active Drive II LOCK is awesome..

We will never know because the camera person decided to deceive us. Anyone with common sense knows that if that jeep was driving straight down like that gravity would put it at the bottom a lot faster than intended! Jeeps can do a lot. They are amazing vehicles. But they cannot defy gravity. I've seen plenty of wrecked ones of people who thought they could!!

I hope you didn't. We have a 2017 and it's meh. It can get you places most basic off roaders can go, but it gets horrible gas mileage for what it is, while taking you there. Hell our 2020 grand cherokee gets 24mpg with mixed highway/city driving, and has loads of power to spare. The best we can do with the renegade is 17... It's Ridiculous! And it's slow as F

The Renegade is a real Jeep. It's all owned by FCA so the " fiat " argument doesn't really matter. The Renegade can climb this clowns using tires with no treads.

What I'm saying is that any Jeep produced after Fiat bought Chrysler isn't a real Jeep, or at least isn't a Jeep worth buying. Including the Renegade. Fiat's jeeps are super over priced and aren't built as well. I mean look at the Gladiator. It's like 55k base price. Add on top of that 10-15k mods to make it more off road capable. Now who's gonna do any serious offroading in a 70k truck? Not to mention that it still has a worse engine than the 90s Jeeps. I could buy a jeep comanche mj for 5k and then put 5k-8k into repairs and mods and have a more reliable, more capable offroading truck with as much or more bed space and looks cooler too (imo) and save about 57k.

A Jeep renegade.. Yeah, don’t buy this if you want any kind of value in a vehicle when you go to trade / sell. Literal shit boxes. Only slighter better quality than a Mitsubishi Outlander, but the kind of price tag you’d expect from a Jeep. I don’t know who’s dumber. The guy buying a Jeep renegade sport, or the guy buying a Jeep renegade trail hawk. Still a POS, but has more features to make you feel you’re getting a good vehicle.
