Many parts of this car are "glued" together. If you read the factory repair manual. You will be surprised to find they use "adhesives" instead of welding. So it's cheaper to make them. Almost any major accident, makes the repairs more expensive, so they consider it's totaled. Don't get me wrong, these are great cars, I've owned 2 of them. But they just don't make them to last anymore. Such a shame...

Why is everybody wearing eyeprotection while there's very little risk for eye injury? Im asking this because everybody is wearing all kinds of clothing like jeans which may cause scratches on the cars or clothing that is way to loosely so it can be caught by the machinery. Also the risk of parts dropping on the floor look significant, but almost nobody is wearing safetyshoes. And from a customerperspective it looks weird to see people working on your future car while they are wearing clothing as if they are coming just out of bed or something!

If you are inside any manufacturing plant, you have to wear safety earwear. And american auto company doesn't have uniform like the Japanese or german does.

In UAW plants? Yes. They're usually also drunk or high. Or both at the same time. Management won't do anything about it because the union always stands up for the most worthless employees, no matter how badly they screw up.

Lots of Flubber-Guts assembly workers there. That's what happens when you live in Ohio. Chrysler likes robots. They don't go out on strike or need health insurance or complain about EEO. Enjoy your new car.

I bet none of the assembly workers even stop a think if the Vehicles there building are actually selling? or maybe "if we all put a little bit more extra pride and if everyone just does a little bit extra maybe the quality would improve??" and if the quality improves more people would buy are Vehicles and if more people buy are Vehicles our jobs would be more secure? failing that I should quit now before automation replaces my job, the union can only protect me so far and the assembly line is soon to be done in Italy.
