Polygamy works when everyone involved is on the same page. When the situation is forced, then one is almost guaranteed fireworks

The problem with this is that in a polygamous society a lot of men have to stay single.

Well i ve heard more than enough cases where african cowives are jealous and nollywood is full of such scenarios

I guess they would, the west has influenced them. A lot of them act like American women now.

Has the white woman's husband marry a second wife? I heard saying that unless she is willing to have more children, not the one son she had, the husband will get a second wife.

Yeah but can women have more than a sole husband? If yes, I can understand what the woman says. Otherwise, not very much.

Of course not. But that idea would solve the problem, that too many men don't get a wife at all, because few high-ranking men take multipe women.

@indrahx5905 Yeah I was just commenting on the opinion the woman expressed. Her exposition doesn't make sense (to me) if it isn't applicable to both men and women.

It helps avoid pregnancy

at the ens it won't depend what she wants or does not want. the husband will get an other wife. he needs children.
