In this video, I'm at JCB's test site quarry in Staffordshire on the new X Series excavators. Here I was using a 140X in the dig area, going through tough ground and rock which was a great test to show off the impressive break-out force offered by these machines.
Some of my favourite things about the X-Series
- Really great cabs, the seats in these machines are a huge improvement with lots of adjustment. The cab is nicely detailed and a comfortable place to be. Heating controls are great and allow you to get everything just right.
- The electronic interface is nice and easy to use. There's lots of things to navigate through and settings to be adjusted. You can even adjust headlight presets to choose which ones come on, and set custom functions for the joystick buttons.
- Noise is extremely minimal in the cab and a good level outside too.
I'm hoping to do a more detailed review at some point so stay tuned!
