Great video and that Eon sounds really clean. I’m really impressed and definitely plan on buying a pair.

300 watts on the bottom. 100 on the top. I've had 2 JBL eon G2's for about 8 years. Still working. They sound and look great.

@@MattyDemello the original power 15s/ G1 eons are 175. 50 watt horn, 125 watt woofer. Absolutely no response under about 100-120~ hz. Very nice above that though, still no mid bass. Are loud as nice as tops though, with adequate subs and maybe something to fill the mids.

These speakers have lasted me over 7 years of djing. Was considering buying newer eons, but you've made me think it over.

I first used these when doing a live gig on a radio show many years ago. They sound fantastic and they're so versatile. The used market is flooded with these bad boys for dirt cheap! Grab them while you can!

Rear label says 120 volts/140 Watts, this is incoming power consumed going into the amplifier, the power going out to the speakers is not the same. I think the actual power to the bottom is several 100 watts and the top is about 100.Great speakers Thanks

I looked at JBL's spec sheet on these. Output is 130w to the bottom and 50w to the top.

Just bought a 1994 built g1 for less than a family meal at Carls Jr… apart from dust, scrapes and some dead spiders… it’s in good shape. Hope lasts some years for family party’s PD just sold my DBR10, a wonderful piece of sound reinforcement… but needed the cash

I played the woofer with my 2ohm 500w amp . 🤣 it's so gutless compared to my cornerhorn. You cant take the woofer out, the box is also the rim and frame of the speaker. These things are basically an oversized Bluetooth speaker that needs an adapter to work and 110/AC outlet. Basically these things are designed to be a PA system for wedding speeches

The red ( or pink) cable that I use in this video is called a quarter inch cable or 1/4 inch cable. It is also known as a guitar cable. You can purchase them at any music store you choose, however the length of the cable is dependent on your situation. When I use the mixer in this video to connect the speakers I have to use a quarter inch to XLR adapter in order to go into the XLR input on the speaker

Picked up a pair of these for 30 each! One needed a new horn so I ordered it, and they defe are loud and clean. Also picked up a pair of Peavy subcompact 18's, 50 a piece. Worth every penny, and add the extra bass that they kinda lack.

@@MattyDemello bought em back in 2020, they looked like shit too, which helped a lot. Just sold them a few months ago, upgraded to JBL Eon 515s, have 7 now, that I have been repairing their amps. Also have dual 12 and 18 powered JBL subs to match. Picked up the eons for 40 bucks a piece, each with a blown amp that I have spent months fixing

Yes you can, but one of the Eons must have a 2nd IEC power output to run into the IEC input on the 2nd Eon.
