100% GREAT Speakers! I have 3 Pairs of Eon's and they do the job! Great for Medium to Small size venues if you're only using 1pair. Very crisp clean sound, and you'll be amazed at the punchy low end. Worth every penny!

Thanx...They work awesome out side. I just got home from a sweet sixteen outside,they rocked. I have also done a relay for life cancer walk with 9 Eons for 2000 people. No problems.. Yes you can hook an mp3 player right into them ( see my other gig logs) as well as a laptop.

Ive used several differeent speakers and I could truly say these Eon G2 s are thebest.!.... i usually take 3 eons to weddings for a few reasons { for back up if one fails, for reinforcement if the room needs another 400 watts, monitor 4 karaoke singer if I have time to set it up, monitor 4 dj booth, also sometimes sound is required in an adjacent room 4 coctails.........Simply put, they are reliable,sound awesome,look cool,and not too hard to carry! LOVE these speakers... i have 4 plus 2 of the EON subs... these speakers are the best I've seen in a low time.. You can push these guys and they will not overheat or distort... get the bags to protect them tho...!

Thank you for your review! I am looking at a used pair of these and would like your opinion. The seller bought them used 5 years ago and does not know how old they were when he bought them. They are pretty rough around the edges, but still sound great. Seller is asking $700 for the pair, plus 2 stands and a few cables. Does this sound reasonable? What is the life expectancy of these speakers?

@assistantto007 Your right. That info is not new, but the review was for someone who didn't know anything about these. Alsothe baffle does get warm. I push these and from te to time need to crack open the case and tighten the driver. But with the cooling tweeters, I have no issues.

How do you loop (daisy chain) one speaker to another? I pressed the loop on one speaker plugged an XL in the out put and plugged it in to the input of the other speaker and got nothing.

So I'm a newbie and in need of one or two speakers for an event I run 3 times a year. Not looking to break the bank and someone recommended finding a couple of these used. I decided to research and found your video. You've sold me even though this is over a decade old. I found 2 of these locally for a total $265. But I'm curious... I know this is a noob question, but... Can you daisy chain these to a passive speaker? Or will I need an amp in between? I'm just curious because there is a pair of EON 15's (passive, not G2) that I can get my hands on for about $100, and if that would work, I might do the right side with one active and one passive and the left the same way. I'm guessing it wouldn't work, but figured I'd ask.

have u ever had an electronic drum kit or drum machine through these? i want to get some speakers for my roland electronic drum kit and was wondering which speakers wud be best for handling the highs of the cymbal sounds and lows of the bass drum.

Have some questions.I own just one jbl speaker exactly like the one you review. I've play music from my mp3 running it through the 2nd and 3rd channel of the jbl speaker.I get low vocals on some tracks cuz the music drowns them out. Is it cuz I don't have a complete set? Also if I buy another should it be the same exact speaker or is there one wit just an input jack to link them together? And o is there any need for a mixer if yes what do you recommend? Sorry I'm new at this stuff.

@Bubbles4uk I have not useed a drum machine, however anything that has an output you can make into a 1/4" or xlr will fit and work! example: ipod 1/8 out into 1/4 into eon.

DJF. your welcome.. Look around to some major gear disrtibutors, they will have you rca-xrl premade. Or you can buy adapters on-line or radio shack to get what u need!!! good luck

Is this model better than the new one? There's a pair of these @ a pawnshop. They are asking 650.00 /pair. Should I get them?.... or should I jump on the QSC KW Series that cost quite a bit more but maybe worth the wait. What is your opinion, please.

i love my eons i done alot of big venues with just 2 as well i just did one last night hold up so you can hook up 3 inputs and loop it to another eon? but frankis you need to get some eons youll be set for good never have to run out and get another speaker. i need to get another pair b4 there actualy gone!

alright oh yeah i tried selling it to a guitar store and passed and didnt wanna buy it might have and idea why they did that?

Not in my experience. I've been using for almost 6 years. Decent cables and soundcraft mixer should make it sound amazing.

Hey im thinking about buying these a guy has a set on ebay london uk, im on a low budget right now.. every so often i dj at my friends house party & garden party most 40 people, im playing house music i would like it loud & clear do you think 2 of these speakers will be loud enough JBL EON15 G2, also if there is another good second hand speakers you think i should try let me know.. thanks

Eon15G2 is the bomb. Great for a small venue of 100 people. Although its been a year since you've posted your question, do let me know what you purchased and how thats working out for you. I love these eons. Have them in church. Want to buy another pair, sadly not available.

@monkinator66 Hey man, Depends on what the connection for the kick mic is: but u can run 2 -1/4" inputs and 1-xlr input all at the same time!!! I have a video from a wedding gig that I run a remote (out in a filed on a battery) an ipod, wireless mics, and guitar all into 1-eon!! good luck

Andrew Devasir just bought one yesterday at Sam ash store in new condition with bag listed at $149.99 plus tax. I only payed $118 plus change. I couldn’t believe it!!!
