I have had these for years in my recording studio and the foam also dry rotted. Where did you find the foam surrounds please? I have not used my Control Ones in years because of the foam issue, so it would be nice to bring them back to life. Thanks. Phil

Found them on the bay. However, since then THOSE deteriorated as well.

@@Farmradio That's a shame after taking the time to do the repair. It's funny, because I have some consumer Fisher brand speakers and also Panasonic home stereo speakers and they're from the early 1980s and no issues with the speakers, yet pro JBL speakers (which I liked by the way) have this foam deteriorating issue. My guitar cabinets also with speakers 40+ years old, no issues. Why in the heck do some companies use foam, I will never know. Again, sorry to hear you're having another issue with your JBLs. Thanks.
