Ok, here is some feedback. The micron gauge isolation feature is innovative and looks like a solution to an issue tech's have been dealing with in the field. The issue is contaminating the micron gauge sensor with refrigerant oil; the work around has been to either use an additional VCRT to isolate the gauge before charging w/ refrigerant, or to not use an additional VCRT and chance it. I use the Bluvac Pro + that claims it can take pressure and is better on oil contamination of the sensor. I believe them and am very happy with the tool. However, more than once I have contaminated the sensor, by installing the tool in a downward position when it was un-avoidable. >Yes unavoidable and a second VCRT was not an option due to the length verses available clearance. >Yes also unavoidable because a VC depressor tool in series with the side port of the VCRT also exceeded available clearance space. >Yes also un-avoidable due to my unwillingness to chance removing the micron gauge from the VCRT side port even with a Schrader valve installed. Yes it happens. It happened to me in the lab infront of my students. I am interested in seeing if the side port orientated at a right angle to the main body will be an issue with respects to clearance available. I would like an integrated cap available for the side port. Remember - clean, tight, and dry. Good saying, credit to Jim B., Mr. MQ himself. Hope this helps, Jeff
