They improvised all that. Conan excels at the very thing Smoove told him he should be. A listener. He hears everything you say and can turn it into comedy with no effort. You rarely see people in entertainment who listen. Most can't shut up, but O'Brian hears it all and more often than not, uses it for comedy on the spot.

@@scottgimple8107 Sure. Skits are all scripted. Most probably rehearsed, some very rehearsed. But O'Brian doesn't need any script. When you are a smart and gifted entertainer, to that degree, you can find comedy in someone drinking a cup of coffee. Conan is the best in the biz for that. It probably irritates producers who try to keep up. Other great listeners were Johnny Carson, Jerry Seinfeld. I'm saying Smoove and O'Brian had a cup of coffee in the green room, talked about Smoove's routine and that was it. The rest was on the fly. No one is reading cue cards for jokes either.

They could go on tour and talk for 2 hours about anything - SOLD OUT.

Great audience, no censorship, this is how the show should have always been. Can't wait for HBO.

when Conan plays the straight man like this, it really is one of the best dynamics

My dog just got really into this interview when the black dolphin explains how he talked to the other dolphins and sharks😂🐬🦈

Mr. JB Smoove doesn't do interviews. He does hilarious, random as all hell TED Talks.

He is funny and real talks nobody down or pretend to be somebody real cool guy

As a non-native speaker, it took me quite some time to figure out wth he is saying ninenty percent of the time, both phonetically and content-wise. But man am i glad i finally manage to. What a great guy.

JB Smoove is absolutely hilarious when I googled famous comedians he wasn't even in the top 10 I cannot believe it! He has not gotten his props but I believe his day is coming soon!!! If he only gets 3 minutes of time you best believe he will leave you in stitches 🤣🤣🤣

That one lady in the audience is having the time of her life 😁 And the pissing in water without repercussions deal is a hundred thousand percent priceless, for sure😅

At least Conan is going out on an absolute quality high

You just can‘t stop this stop him. Conan said this in his podcast, the second time he has JB as his guest.

JB is so hilarious and I love him on Curbed. He elevates that show in an unimaginable way just like he does here.

That farting in yourself when you hold it in is one of the funniest things I've heard in a long while.

I love how he said “when i get to space” not if, but when.

indeed.....i think Carson was a better talk show host...but Conan's a WAY better and funnier comedian

This is an absolute masterpiece. I have watched it 3 times and it still kills me. Hilarious.
