How to download the sheet please?
For those who don't have formal training in piano or Jazz this is absolutely valuable. Many years ago in college I study music theory but it focused primarily on classical. it did wonders for my ability to understand music overall, but we all know jazz is a very unique language. Thank you for this awesome video.
Wonderful how you easily , understandably and especially in simple words explain these different cords and their variations
You're the best Jonny! Giving so much awesomeness and keeping it simple!
I learn a lot from this method of teaching. Jonny explains it in such simple terms but its instantly getable.
It's wonderful how you help make Jazz UNDERSTANDABLE for those of us who are new to the subject. So far your videos end up helping me to clean up and clarify the CONFUSIONS I end up in watching other teachers. Hats off to you Johnny. Now, if you could only help put an end to my quest to better understand MODAL JAZZ, you would become "the cat's pajamas," indeed. I get what all of the modes are and how they are derived, but for some reason, I have just not been able to crack them into fun, enjoyable playing experiences. With thanks for all you do.
This is reallllly well made. Nice.
Finally I understand voicing chords. Thank you Johnny for this excellent so clear lesson.
Thank you for breaking it down into small steps and demonstrating it. It now makes sense.
rootless chords are magical. Thanks johnny.

Kudos for the Video! Forgive me for chiming in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you heard about - Riddleagan Smart Hands Remedy (should be on google have a look)? It is an awesome exclusive product for learning piano fast without the hard work. Ive heard some decent things about it and my BF at very last got cool results with it.

Hello Johnny Thanks for sharing this lessons on jazz chords this is really amazing! These chords are the very foundation of playing jazz from intermediate to advance Jazz. Thank you!
I'm not a pianist, but I always wondered how those musicians got the chords to sound like that! Great video, clear explanation!
Love your tutorials. They have made a big difference in my playing! Thank you so much!
These are the best jazz lessons I've ever seen I learnt so much from your lessons and you teach in such a easy jazzy way
This video completely unlocked a new understanding. Thank you.
Love your work as always
Watching this video makes me understand that I've always *_LOVED_* Jazz, but never knew it - I _felt it_ !!! Liked, Commented & Saved... 👍👌
Well explained and thanks for sharing your knowledge. Stay safe.
Thanks, Ralph fiennes
Amazing lesson! I look forward to trying to incorporate some of these jazzy chords when I play with my church band
The main riff in Skating by Vince Guaraldi is a good example of these maj69 chords!
I love jazz and this is so helpful Thanks!
Perfect lesson, really clear and easy. Thanx for that video.
You did a really good job of explaining those cords👍
Thank u Jonny for your lesson learning a lot.
I continue to foray into jazz watching many videos on lead sheets, yours is an integral part of 5his, thank you.
Really appreciate your step by step guide. Thanks Jonny.
Thank you so much for sharing. It’s very clear and easy to apply.

Thanks very much for the amazing lessons.
So good as ever! Cheers!
Great lesson ...a lot covered in a little over 20 min....thanx!
Thank you Jonny. Subscribed.
This is golden Jonny. Thanks so much !!
Fantastic lesson! So that’s what I’ve been playing and why? (LOL ) I have ears that naturally hear these sounds but now I can add more jazzy sounds to my improv! THANK YOU. Johnny!
Such a fantastic explanation! Crystal clear! I thought about these 7,9,11,13 chords so many times and understood almost nothing although I played the piano for 15 years, studied music theory for 4 years at secondary musical school the way that definitely didn't work for me. The only thing I miss now is a piano. I think I will buy it and play jazz & pop again.
Great lesson! I could follow it easily. ❣️
Very good lesson, it's very well explained. I wish this existed 17 years ago. For all those who wonder why ppl use the major sixth in minor chords even though it's not in the scale (at least it's not in the i chord) it's basically because the minor sixth doesn't really work in the voicing (it's the same as why ppl omit the 11 in major and dominant chords) AND even in classical music, when playing in a minor key, the scale transforms into natural minor, harmonic minor and melodic minor, so you could say that the major sixth comes from the melodic minor scale.
You are amazing dear Jonny. I'm improving my left hand and you make It seem easy to play new chords. Thanks for that. Yo
Amazing video, thank you. Extremely informational and simple enough to build off of
This channel is so unbelievably helpful, 3rd video I've watched in as many days
You are the best, you teach perfect and direct. This the best site on the net, you are very generous. Thank you so much.
Beautiful ! Absolutely phenominal, thank you !
I've seen lots of similar explanations and setups, but i think this one sets the bar! Most intuitive explanation I've seen. It was really fantastic! It was actually perfect. Everything about it, from the placement of everything, from the keyboard, the virtual keys, the musical staff to the explanation, oh and even the Debussy ref...bc as somebody who has a solid background in classical piano, this jazz thing really feels like a different dialect, a different language at first, but after a few months it feels like a different dialect. And I can really see/feel how this approach will enhance my classical abilities as well. Anyway, main pt and bottom line, keep it up Jonny!

Tysm for this. I'm 15 and trying to learn jazz but a lot of musicians lock this type of content behind a paywall, which is understandable but also not available to someone like me. But this video covers so much... And for free! Thanks again

I don't play any instrument, but I am confident that practicing the chord sequence 2-5-1 in all major and minor keys will help you a lot.For example, the 2-5-1 in the key /scale of C major is D-G-C.You could try a combination of chord types(major, minor, dominant, inversions) that may be very jazz like or not.
Love you Jonny
Very instructional and very cool 😎
thank you sir
Excellent 😊
Hey Jonny! Love your channel. Do you think you can do a video (if you haven't already) on some of the alternative Chord notations? Thanks in advance! Cheers!
